Ever wondered what it took to build the Impossible Bridge? 88 years ago, the Golden Gate bridge was completed. The skyline of San Fransisco would never be the same. All around the world, it’s one of the iconic symbols of America. It’s an engineering marvel. And picture perfect with its suspension design. But what’s even more impressive in the near-impossible foundation that was constructed for the towers and the fearless laborers facing dangerous challenges: - burying bombs - working beneath sinking foundations (minute 1:23) - and the list goes on The engineering efforts that went into laying the groundwork for one of the world’s most recognizeable landmarks are mind blowing.
