This week one of our longtime clients, Ken, reminded us what aviation is truly about. Through his volunteer work, Ken connected with a woman in Presque Island Maine who needed transportation to Portland, Maine for an important medical procedure. Ken flew up to meet her, and together they made the trip down to Portland. For her, it was access to care. For Ken, it was another opportunity to use aviation for something bigger than himself. This is what general aviation can do. It connects people. It changes lives. It turns airplanes into lifelines. On our monthly newsletter we go on a tour with Andrew Barr and ask him, "Hey Andrew where can we fly to eat good?" This month we’re headed to Duckfat (fly into Portland KPWM). Tucked just off the waterfront, this cozy spot has built a national reputation for doing simple things exceptionally well. In fact, Andrew plans some of his flights around this stop just so he can bring students here.
