Nurses Week was a blast at MLKCH! From donuts and coffee to tea with our Chief Nursing Officer, the week was filled with moments to pause and connect. We honored excellence through our DAISY Award ceremony, including a special video message from Bonnie Barnes, co-founder of The DAISY Foundation, and ended the week with a wellness carnival complete with art, fun and even a dunk tank. To our nurses: thank you for your skill, compassion, leadership and heart. We are grateful for all you do. Happy Nurses Week! #NursesWeek

Yesterday’s talent show was hot!🔥hot!🔥hot!🔥 From pop hits and classic songs to satire, original performances, traditional dance and lyrical dance, our MLKCH team brought the talent, the joy and high energy for Hospital Week. The audience brought just as much heart as the performers—cheering, clapping and celebrating every performer with the kind of support that makes this community so special. Big shoutout to Yvette and Jeff, our hosts, who showed up in style and kept the party going! Thank you to our judges for taking on the very difficult job of choosing winners from such an incredible lineup. Happy #HospitalWeek to the extraordinary team at MLK Community Healthcare! Doctors, nurses, clinical teams, support staff and so many others come together every day to make care possible. This week is our chance to celebrate all of them. It is also a chance to recognize the healthcare heroes who may not wear a stethoscope, but whose work touches every part of the hospital: the EVS teams who keep our spaces clean and safe, the IT teams who keep systems moving, the Public Safety teams who help protect our campus, the catering services teams who keep us full, and so many others working behind the scenes.
