Administrative barriers can disrupt patient access to treatment before therapy ever begins. A 2026 systematic review evaluating the effects of prior authorization requirements found that limited patient engagement during the authorization process was associated with measurable care abandonment and delayed treatment initiation. Across the 25 studies reviewed, prior authorization delays were consistently associated with worse clinical outcomes. ▪️94% of physicians reported prior authorization delays access to care ▪️78% reported that prior authorization sometimes or often causes patients to abandon recommended treatment ▪️Prior authorization was associated with preventable hospitalizations, prolonged hospital stays, and disease exacerbation https://hubs.ly/Q04gYMYj0 The findings show that when patients are left unsupported through complex access workflows, prescription initiation and continuity of care decline substantially. #MedicationAccess #PatientEngagement #PatentSupport #PrescriptionDropoff

That's a wrap on #ReImaginePharmaMarketing! Our team had a great two days — good conversations, sharp thinking, and connecting with people who care about the patient experience as much as we do. Thanks for having us, Jersey Shore. 🌊 cc: Josh Konetzni, Cody Zedaker

A 2026 market analysis by Indiana University researchers found continued growth in vendor‑delivered patient navigation services across specialty pharma, including care coordination, home delivery, adherence support, and reimbursement workflows. The analysis notes that these services are highly regulated, operationally complex, and increasingly interconnected—making them difficult for individual manufacturers to manage at scale on their own. The findings suggest that in neurologic and dementia care, for example, where treatment journeys are long and coordination gaps are common, nurse navigation can play a meaningful role in supporting continuity and clarity for patients. https://hubs.ly/Q04fPVlx0 #NurseNavigator #PharmaOutsourcing #PatientJourney

For years, Asembia has been where the industry talks about what's next. At AXS26, the conversation shifted to what's already here. Policy reshaping access. AI moving from pilot to infrastructure. Clinical complexity outpacing patient literacy. The days of conversations that made one thing clear: the work of patient support is being redesigned in real time. Our five takeaways from the event: https://lnkd.in/gdE5mHZg

Ask a nurse what gets them up in the morning, and you'll rarely hear about the clinical side of the job. You'll hear about people. 💙 It's a powerful reminder that behind every therapy, every education visit, and every follow-up call is a nurse showing up with purpose, compassion, and heart. Hear from Diana Hunt, one of our field nurse educators, on what drives her each day: #NationalNursesWeek #ThankANurse #PatientEngagement #NursesMakeADifference
