As we celebrate 100 years of NEFF, it’s the people behind the work who truly define our legacy. Meet Dean Kindrai, Engineering Manager, whose perspective reflects both experience and forward-thinking leadership. When asked, "How has NEFF adapted to changes in automation technology (such as robotics, motion control, machine vision, etc.)?" Dean responded: "NEFF has adapted by remaining true to our engineer-to-engineer roots. In my time with NEFF, I’ve seen multiple instances where a product that made up a huge portion of our revenue went away. In every instance we’ve been ready with a plan, we’ve replaced dollars with a different brand or technology, and we’ve found a way to remain relevant. A core concept that I try to instill in my team is that we sell the NEFF brand and NEFF experience. If we do that, it doesn’t matter what labels are on the product or what the product even is." Adaptability isn’t just about chasing the next technology. It’s about building a mindset that embraces change while staying grounded in what makes you valuable. Through decades of shifts in automation, leaders like Dean have helped ensure continuity not by relying on any single product or partner, but by focusing on expertise, relationships, and trust. When asked, “How has NEFF helped you develop professionally?” Robin shared: “We’ve had amazing controllers over the years. They’ve worked close with us.
