Spent the day at the Capitol with colleagues from CPCA advocating for the patients and communities we serve through our FQHCs. These moments matter. They’re a reminder that the policies being debated aren’t abstract—they directly impact whether our patients can access care, stay covered, and navigate an increasingly complex system. I had the opportunity to speak on: - Physician pathway programs to strengthen and grow the workforce our communities rely on - A key ballot initiative that will shutter health centers - Budget requests to invest in health navigators—an essential but often overlooked role that helps patients enroll in and stay connected to Medi-Cal Health navigators are the bridge between coverage and care. Without them, too many patients fall through the cracks—even when they technically qualify for services. Grateful to stand alongside so many passionate advocates today.
