This marks my 4th year of volunteering at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp with the team from Newman's Own, Inc. and Newman's Own Foundation and somehow every year feels a little different in all the best ways. It’s always refreshing to step away from our desks and spend time at camp, but what always has stayed with me most is knowing what this place truly represents for the kids and families who come here. At camp, every child has the opportunity to just be a kid and have the opportunity to laugh, explore, make friends, and as Paul Newman would say, “Raise a little Hell.” It’s not just transformative for the campers. Families find community, support, and connection with other parents who genuinely understand what they’re going through because they’ve lived it too. That kind of space is rare and deeply meaningful. There really is no greater privilege than being able to serve these children and families. Without camps like this and the broader SeriousFun Children's Network many of these kids might never have access to experiences like these, and families may never find the community and support that camp makes possible. Forever grateful for the opportunity to be part of it ✨🏕️
Giving back isn't just part of our story—it's who we are. 💛 Newman's Own, Inc. staff had a blast at our annual Volunteer Day at The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp in Connecticut, part of SeriousFun Children's Network! New team member Allison Pyer visited camp for the very first time. She shared, "As we prepared the camp for incoming campers, I saw firsthand the amazing experiences and support they give to kids. It made the mission we’re part of feel very real—and it felt really good to play a small part in it." 🏕️ Thank you to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp for having us!
