We save lives through cell therapy.

About us

Introducing NMDP, formerly known as the National Marrow Donor Program and Be The Match. Our name has changed but our mission has not: We save lives through cell therapy. At NMDP, we believe each of us holds the key to curing blood cancers and disorders. As a global nonprofit leader in cell therapy, NMDP creates essential connections between researchers and supporters to inspire action and accelerate innovation to find life-saving cures. With the help of blood stem cell donors from the world’s most diverse registry and our extensive network of transplant partners, physicians and caregivers, we’re expanding access to treatment so that every patient can receive their life-saving cell therapy. 🙌 This is what hope looks like. In 2017, Donna received the devastating news that she was diagnosed with myelofibrosis and given a five-to-seven-year life expectancy. A blood stem cell transplant from a stranger changed everything. Today, she’s THRIVING thanks to the selflessness of her donor, Tiana. Help us celebrate the power of our community to heal and save lives. 👉 Join the registry: https://go.nmdp.org/join

Kiri was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder called adrenoleukodystrophy (ALD) shortly after birth, and urgently needs a blood stem cell donor as the disease progresses. ⚠️ He's a joyful, curious boy who loves sports, cars and wants to be a firefighter like his dad when he grows up. His family continues to host donor recruitment events, raising awareness and encouraging others to join the registry. Someone reading this could be the matching donor he needs. Share his story with your network or learn how you can help 👉 https://lnkd.in/gVseAa3e
