The most important people at Nordstrom aren't in the executive suite. They're on the salesfloor, in the stock room, and in our tailor shop, serving customers every single day. On the latest episode of The Nordy Pod, Pete Nordstrom sits down with a group of leaders who built their careers starting from those roles: co-CEO Erik Nordstrom, Chief Merchandising Officer Jamie Nordstrom, President of Nordstrom Stores Fanya Chandler, SVP and Regional Manager Rickey Osorio, store managers Brandon Gross and Ted Reed, and legacy Nordstrom leader Brent Harris. Together, they explore the management philosophy that has shaped this company for generations — the inverted pyramid. It's the idea that leaders exist to support the people closest to the customer, not the other way around. It was an honor to be recognized by the Puget Sound Business Journal at their 20th Annual Corporate Citizenship Awards as one of the region's top corporate philanthropists. Nordstrom is proud to be named among the top companies making an impact in the communities we call home — and we're grateful to the teams, partners and customers who make it all possible. Also at the luncheon, the Nordstrom family was thrilled to present Scott Oki with the Blake Nordstrom Humanitarian Award for Corporate Giving for all his work to build up the greater Seattle area. Seattle is stepping onto a global stage this summer, and Nordstrom is honored to be part of the welcome. Last week, a large-scale banner designed by PNW artist Shogo Ota went up on the exterior of our Downtown Seattle flagship store — drawing from the official Seattle FIFA World Cup 26™ city poster and woven through with details that reflect both the tournament and the city hosting it. Nordstrom is also proud to fund the public art installation along the Monorail route from Downtown Seattle to Seattle Center: 52 columns of artwork, with Shogo Ota's designs unifying the full installation through September 2026. Welcome to Seattle!

For the fifth consecutive year, Nordstrom was proud to partner with Gold House in celebration of Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Heritage Month. This weekend, we were honored to support the Gold Women's Breakfast — a beauty-filled morning ahead of the Gold Gala, where the top 100 most impactful Asian Pacific leaders in culture, entertainment and entrepreneurship were recognized. Guests enjoyed beauty activations and hand massages from ALLIES OF SKIN and Augustinus Bader as they prepared for a night celebrating the changemakers shaping our culture. Gold House is a leading voice for the AAPI community, and this partnership reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities we serve.

This week on The Nordy Pod, we're continuing our 125th anniversary celebration with a special highlight reel of service stories: straight from the people — past and present — who've made Nordstrom what it is. Our host Pete Nordstrom is joined by some familiar voices and a few new ones: Fanya Chandler, Darrel Hume, Brian Tatsumura, Jamie Nordstrom, Jesse James Barnholdt, and many more. Together, they share the moments that have stayed with them — a suit delivered after hours, a hubcap tracked down two miles from the parking lot, and a terminally ill customer whose holiday gifts were wrapped and delivered after she passed. Tune in to hear the stories that define what we stand for: https://lnkd.in/eh6VpYUp

125 years in, the stories customers have shared with us are still the thing we're most proud of. The first suit for a new job. The shoes worn down the aisle. The small discoveries and human connections that quietly became something more. Based on a True Story is a new campaign built around those moments — an episodic film set inside Nordstrom's most familiar spaces, inspired by real experiences customers have shared over the years, while looking ahead at the memories still to come. Above all, it is our way of saying thank you to all the customers that have given Nordstrom the privilege of serving them over the years. The campaign debuts today in theaters nationwide alongside select screenings of The Devil Wears Prada 2, along with streaming and social platforms. This week on The Nordy Pod, our host Pete Nordstrom sits down with Ynon Kreiz, CEO of Mattel, Inc., to talk about what it takes to keep iconic brands relevant across generations. Ynon has spent the last seven years evolving Mattel from a toy manufacturer into a full-fledged IP and entertainment company — with Barbie, Hot Wheels, Uno, and more as the foundation. He and Pete dig into how Mattel takes brands with deep heritage and makes them feel current, what it means to trust creative partners and give them room to run, and why physical play remains a powerful force in an increasingly digital world. The conversation also touches on our own push to become a destination for gifting and toys — and why, as Ynon sees it, the opportunity for a retailer like Nordstrom is hard to ignore. This Earth Month, we're partnering with Rothy's on the latest edition of Make Room for Shoes — featuring the all-new Cruiser Collection, available exclusively at Nordstrom. The Cruiser Mary Jane and Cruiser Loafer arrive in spring-ready colorways, each style sustainably knit from recycled plastic bottles, fully washable, and built to last. Style that doesn't ask you to choose between looking good and doing good. To mark the occasion, we brought euro summer to Manhattan — hosting an exclusive first look at the collection at our NYC flagship with Denna of “Strictly the Good Stuff.” Shop the Rothy's Cruiser Collection in stores and on Nordstrom.com.

Last week, we welcomed our latest cohort of Retail Leadership Training Program (RLTP) participants. Over the next eight weeks, these talented individuals will gain hands-on experience across 52 Nordstrom stores nationwide — building business acumen, sharpening leadership skills, and making an impact. Once their training is complete, they’ll be placed into assistant department manager roles at Nordstrom or Nordstrom Rack stores across the country. Let’s give a warm welcome to our 147 new RLTP trainees — we can’t wait to see what they accomplish!
