Together with SSAB, we are rethinking how slab handling is carried out at SSAB's Raahe mill by taking a truly user-centric approach that goes beyond technology and focuses on the real needs of the people on the ground. Through deep user research and the development of early concepts and prototypes, we created designs that aim to simplify daily work and better support the teams who handle slabs every day. Finnish IT media Tivi Magazine reports on our cooperation with Varsinais-Suomen hyvinvointialue and the rollout of the Space Resource Management application at Tyks Turku University Hospital Compass Hospital and in the Salo psychiatric unit. 🏥 The release highlights how the Space Resource Management Application automatically allocates consultation rooms based on care needs, enabling 30–40% reduction in required space. Digital identity continues to sit at the centre of the UK’s modernisation debate, but most discussions still hinge on concerns around centralisation and surveillance. Estonia offers a useful counterpoint. In a recent interview, Andres Raieste, Nortal’s Global Head of Public Sector, highlights how Estonia’s decentralised X-Road architecture and interoperable digital ID ecosystem built trust over time not through technology alone but through transparent governance and clear public value.
