During National Police Week, we pause to honor the courage, sacrifice, and dedication of law enforcement officers across North Carolina and our nation. These men and women step into difficult moments to protect and serve their communities, bringing calm during crisis and support when it is needed most. On Peace Officers Memorial Day, we especially remember the officers who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. Their service and commitment will never be forgotten. We also recognize the families, friends, and coworkers who continue to carry their memory forward. Responder Assistance Initiative joins agencies and communities across our state in honoring those who served with courage and thanking those who continue serving every day. Support is available when you need it. 📞 (866) 731-6901

NCDPS General Counsel Ashby Ray and members of the general counsel’s office visited Samarcand Training Academy last week. They toured the campus with Director Matthew Rebuck and participated in a one-on-one scenario with Alcohol Law Enforcement at the Tac House. They tested the V-300 Simulator, a five-screen use-of-force and firearms simulator and witnessed ongoing training activities. It was a valuable opportunity for the team to learn about the comprehensive training programs offered on campus. #WeAreNCDPS
