🚨SNAP rules have changed. New federal rules mean that many more New Yorkers ages 18-64 must now meet work requirements to keep their SNAP benefits. We particularly need young adults, ages 18-30, to reach out for work, education, training, or volunteer opportunities to keep their benefits. These rules took effect on March 1, which means reductions in benefits could occur as early as June 1 for people who do not comply for three months. NYC is here to help connect New Yorkers to jobs, education, training, and other opportunities. Call 718-SNAP-NOW (718-762-7669) to remain compliant with requirements to keep your benefits. #SNAP

DSS proudly announces its involvement in an exciting community engagement process for reimagining the Fulton-Howard West site in Bedford-Stuyvesant. The future project aims to create 100% affordable homes, expanded social services, and robust amenities, in a new mixed-use development. “We are incredibly excited to be a part of this project which will not only bring much-needed, affordable housing to this city-owned site, but ensure that the wide array of services available will continue uninterrupted during the development process,” said Department of Social Services First Deputy Commissioner Saratu Ghartey. #NYCDSSCares
