This recognition comes with a $10,500 grant that will allow us to transform our food program into a market style experience. May is National Foster Care Awareness Month, but for the young people we serve, the journey toward independence happens every single day. At Orangewood Foundation, our role is to partner with these young people as they build the life they envision. This month, our new auxiliary group, Madrinas & Padrinos for Orangewood, hosted an eventful evening for our YCP youth. More than just a gathering, it was an evening for shared food, cultural activities, and building a supportive space for our young people to feel seen and celebrated. Madrinas & Padrinos was formed with a specific vision: to provide a consistent foundation of mentors who lead with culture and heart. April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we’d like to recognize and celebrate our community partners at Toshiba. The Toshiba team consistently shows up to make a meaningful impact in our community.
