We are honored to announce that Orangewood Foundation has received the 2026 Innovative Service Award from Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County! This recognition comes with a $10,500 grant that will allow us to transform our food program into a market style experience. By upgrading our space, we are prioritizing dignity, choice, and empowerment. These funds ensure the young people we serve have access to fresh, healthy options in a truly welcoming environment. A huge thank you to our partners for believing in our mission and helping us build a more equitable food system for the young people in our community. #OrangewoodFoundation #CommunityImpact #FoodEquity #Support

Last week at #VansHQ, our teams came together to pack over 300 backpacks filled with art supplies for donation to the Orangewood Foundation supporting youth in our local community. Empowering creativity is core to who we are as Vans, and we’re proud of efforts like these that make a real impact. We organized this activity during our goal-setting day, a reminder that people are at the center of everything we do, both within our business and beyond! Different tasks, the same heart. 🧡 As we wrap up National Volunteer Month, we’re looking back at the incredible variety of ways our community has stepped up. At Orangewood Foundation, "volunteering" looks different every single day—and that’s what makes it so powerful. Our volunteers help support wherever the need is. From physical transformations to high-stakes finish lines, our volunteers have been everywhere this year: 🏠 The Dorm Refresh Days: Volunteers rolled up their sleeves at the Youth Connected Program (YCP), turning living spaces into warm, welcoming homes. A fresh coat of paint, creating storage solutions, and deep cleaning is more than a "refresh"—it’s a message to our youth that they are worth the effort. 👕 Clothing Shop Days: These volunteers have done the heavy lifting and sorting through generous donations. By providing the organization needed to put together outfits, they help participants shop with dignity, ensuring every young person feels confident and seen. ⛰️ The Orangewood Challenge: To the teams that showed up at 6:00 AM to help our production company set up, those stationed along the course, those running a smooth arts and crafts station, and those who helped break down—your physical endurance translates directly into resources that change lives. 🎄 Holiday Magic: From gift-wrapping to festive meals, you ensured that no one in our community felt forgotten during the most important times of the year. Whether you joined us for a single afternoon of cleaning or responded to a critical call to action, you are the reason we can say "yes" when our youth need us most. We’re already planning some exciting ways to get involved this May up until the end of 2026. Want to get involved? https://lnkd.in/gz_kgkFK

This month, our new auxiliary group, Madrinas & Padrinos for Orangewood, hosted an eventful evening for our YCP youth. More than just a gathering, it was an evening for shared food, cultural activities, and building a supportive space for our young people to feel seen and celebrated. Madrinas & Padrinos was formed with a specific vision: to provide a consistent foundation of mentors who lead with culture and heart. We are proud to see this new group already making a tangible difference. Want to get involved? We are always looking for dedicated individuals to join the Madrinas & Padrinos mission. Reach out to us at info@orangewoodfoundation.org to learn more. #OrangewoodFoundation #Mentorship #CommunityImpact #OrangeCounty #YouthDevelopment

April is Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we’d like to recognize and celebrate our community partners at Toshiba. The Toshiba team consistently shows up to make a meaningful impact in our community. They bring a full house of volunteers to our kitchen to provide dinner for our young people, making a difference with every visit. Seeing a large group take the time to be present is a powerful reminder to our young people that they have an entire community in their corner, supporting them on their journey. Thank you, Toshiba, for your partnership and for always showing up with so much heart! #OrangewoodFoundation #VolunteerAppreciationMonth #GiveBack #Community #Volunteer
