Prevail over land.

About us

Ground combat is defined by unforgiving terrain, harsh conditions, and split-second decisions. At Overland AI, we enhance ground power while protecting lives. Our OverDrive autonomy stack enables ground vehicles to navigate off-road without GPS or direct operator control, while our OverWatch C2 interface provides commanders with precisely coordinated capabilities that are vital for complex missions on the modern battlefield. Overland AI is developing these capabilities and putting them into the hands of tactical operators today. Partnering with the U.S. Army, Marine Corps, SOCOM, DARPA, and DIU, we are delivering advanced solutions that reduce risk and empower soldiers to succeed in contested environments. Join us in shaping the future of ground operations and national security.

  • Watch Overland AI's ULTRA AGV autonomously maneuver into the mission area, precisely emplace two XM204 top-attack munitions, and then return to base during a live exercise. The Overland-designed payload droppers allow ULTRA to shape terrain in front of the forward line of troops. This extends otherwise hand-emplaced counter mobility effects without putting human lives at risk. This is real-time (1×) video of Overland’s ground autonomy in action. True off-road navigation and delivery of effects with onboard sensing and compute.

  • Overland AI builds cutting-edge software and physically deploys it at scale. For Alex Spitzer, our Director of Integration and Delivery, that combination is what makes the work challenging yet rewarding. “Overland AI is a unique blend of frontier research problems and deploying that cutting-edge in the field. On one hand, we’re applying state of the art in robotics in novel ways to enable effective autonomy across diverse environments, vehicle platforms, and applications. On the other hand, we’re not just working on those problems in the abstract. We’re taking our systems into the field, putting them under pressure, and testing them in the most realistic and punishing environments we can find. Every deployment surfaces new behaviors and areas for improvement, leading to a better product. There is urgency. There is a mission-critical need for our autonomy to perform. And our engineers see the direct connection between the technical work and large visible improvements to system performance.” Join the team: https://lnkd.in/gmKG8MPq

  • “The Army’s 82nd Airborne Division demonstrated arguably the most cutting-edge use of UGVs…” In Forbes, Zita Ballinger Fletcher reports on how uncrewed ground vehicles are changing land warfare tactics, citing the 82nd Airborne's use of Overland AI's ULTRA AGVs at Panther Avalanche. Soldiers used ULTRA to push supplies forward, scout ahead of troops, transmit signals, support counter-drone operations, and carry tethered drones as mobile watchtowers. • Overland AI's ULTRA autonomous ground vehicles. One of the world's largest military exercises. Morocco's Sahara Desert. At African Lion 2026, Soldiers from the 173rd Airborne Brigade and 7th Engineer Brigade quickly integrated multiple ULTRA AGVs into complex combined-arms scenarios, including live breaching, fire support, and terrain shaping missions. Senior leaders from U.S. Army Europe-Africa and AFRICOM observed live. Read the full press release: https://lnkd.in/dejpSE6W

  • Coming on the heels of Arcane Thunder, African Lion, and continued deployments supporting the Army, Marine Corps, and SOCOM, Overland AI is heading to Tampa for SOF WEEK 2026. Stop by Booth #4334 in the Sail Plaza to see how ULTRA and OverDrive are bringing mission-ready ground autonomy to the fight, enabling autonomous maneuver, contested logistics, reconnaissance, and payload delivery in the kinds of austere, communications-denied environments SOF teams operate in. From supporting distributed operations and rapid resupply to extending operational reach without increasing risk to personnel, we are focused on giving operators practical autonomy that works off-road, off-network, and at tactical speed. See you in Tampa.

  • 50km autonomous reconnaissance mission. No interventions, no teleoperation, no safety driver in the vehicle. 10x speed so you can see the whole thing. Watch Overland AI's OverDrive autonomy stack choose its own path, deftly navigating dirt roads, trails, and gnarly cross-country terrain. Tall vegetation, steep ditches, thick mud, water crossings, and even cattle. This is true off-road autonomy, recorded in government tests two years ago, and finally approved for public release.

Autonomous systems are changing the character of land warfare and we are leading the charge. At African Lion, Overland AI AGVs were deployed forward of the 173rd Airborne, supporting the breach, identifying threats, and clearing routes ahead of dismounts. • Our Co-Founder and COO Greg Okopal is at African Lion 2026, U.S. Africa Command's largest annual exercise, alongside NATO and non-NATO allies in one of the most demanding operational environments in the world. Overland AI's autonomous ground vehicles are changing how ground combat is fought. Our mission has always been to remove Soldiers from unnecessary risk and put AGVs into the most hazardous scenarios, including complex breaching, terrain shaping, and fire support. Whoever fields the most capable systems wins. Watch VICE Media's coverage with Greg at African Lion here: https://lnkd.in/dGvSRVp7

  • Logistics dictates how far any force can advance. When resupply becomes a target, operators face a stark choice: risk lives or stop moving. Ground autonomy restores the advantage, and Overland AI is leading the charge. At Agile Spirit in Vaziani, Georgia, the 173rd Airborne Brigade conducted autonomous resupply with Overland AI's ULTRA AGVs for 60mm and 120mm mortar units, delivering munitions directly to forward-positioned mortar crews, minimizing risk exposure. At JRTC, the 82nd Airborne integrated four ULTRA AGVs and cut distribution timelines by ~50%, including an 8 km resupply to a sniper team under active OPFOR threat and a 12 km autonomous convoy supporting a command post displacement. At Camp Pendleton, CAL FIRE evaluated autonomous ground resupply for the first time, delivering food, water, hose, and batteries to remote fire lines with ULTRA AGVs. Overland AI's OverDrive autonomy stack runs locally on every robot. Missions are completed with or without comms. One operator can move multiple robots through terrain that crews cannot reach. Overland AI is in the field delivering new capability to warfighters and first responders today.

  • Last fall, Overland AI was down-selected to integrate into 1st Brigade, 1st Cavalry Division's training cycle through the xTechOverwatch competition. Phase II was our chance to deliver results alongside Soldiers in a tactical training environment. We brought two ULTRA vehicles to 2-8 CAV and trained four Soldiers from A and E Companies on AGV operations. They picked up the system quickly and were running coordinated multi-robot missions during their situational training exercise. The work continues as 1st CAV moves through Pegasus Charge toward an NTC rotation next spring. We will be embedding alongside an Army unit at the service's most demanding combined arms training environment, the gold standard for integrating new technology into the force. Rotations like these are where we have brought our best, and we look forward to doing so again.
