Women’s Health Week starts each year on Mother’s Day and aims to highlight the specific health issues women may face and the importance of being proactive about them. From reproductive and maternal health to their unique risk factors and symptoms for health conditions like stroke and heart disease, advocating for evidence-based care tailored to women can help save lives! Several PAM Health locations offer therapies tailored to women’s health, including pelvic floor therapy and therapy for breast cancer patients. April 28 of every year is World Day for Safety and Health at Work, organized by the International Labour Organization to promote the importance of health and safety and the prevention of accidents in all types of workplaces. Although preventing injuries is key, when accidents happen, we are here to help with our comprehensive Worker’s Compensation Program. Our interdisciplinary team of workers’ comp program directors, therapists, doctors, and other specialists prioritize getting injured workers the care they need, when they need it. Our programs not only help patients recover from work-related injuries but also help them plan for life after discharge from our hospital, from return-to-work plans and strategies to prevent re-injury.
