Another show in the books! Thank you to EndeavorB2B and the folks of Microgrid Knowledge for another year of insights into the developing technology and impacts of microgrids. And a special shoutout to Frankie Sanchez, Josh Haswell and Erica L. Stephens who sat down with our own Todd Jackson to share the utility perspective on utilizing microgrids to help thier customers through rain, through heat and through energy peaks.

This Earth Day, we’re highlighting hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), a renewable diesel alternative compatible with our PowerBlocks. Produced from 100% renewable materials, HVO can significantly reduce fossil-based greenhouse gas emissions and be blended with petroleum diesel at any percentage —without engine modifications. At PowerSecure, we are committed to improving our communities and environment, this Earth Day and every day. Not all DERs deliver the same value. The “any DER will do” mindset is challenged head-on in this white paper shared on the Energy Central platform by Todd J. of PowerSecure, Inc., where he makes the simple point that the best mix depends on 1) where you are 2) what your load looks like, and 3) what you are trying to optimize for — resilience, cost, emissions, or all three. The real question is not whether DERs can work together. It is whether they should. Dig in deeper by heading to the full post, linked in the comments below
