Did you know P&G's Product Supply internships go back to the 1950s and helped highlight the need for a more coordinated way to work with colleges? In the 1950s, interns typically worked directly with individual teams on the manufacturing floor, learning by doing and contributing alongside the people around them. In 1954, CEO Neil McElroy authorized the development of a system that would enable the company to work more effectively with colleges, helping lay the foundation for a thriving internship program. "P&G's executive development program for college graduates is nationally recognized as one of the most efficient and thorough in American business," said McElroy, in a 1955 publication of the Future for Engineers and Chemists. Over the years, students from around the world have gained hands‑on experience P&G, bringing fresh perspectives to real work that benefits the company and the consumers we serve. At the same time, they are building technical and business capabilities that strengthen our teams and help shape how we recruit and develop talent today. Most people might not expect to find geologists at P&G, but their impact is critical. Ian is one of only two practicing geologists at P&G, leading work focused on understanding site conditions, supporting global decisions, and ensuring responsible long-term stewardship. After starting in oil and gas and spending nearly a decade in environmental consulting, Ian now applies his expertise at scale, helping ensure P&G not only meets standards but exceeds them. "At P&G, we invest the time to investigate, delineate and do the right thing," Ian says. It’s a reminder that innovation and responsibility go hand in hand – even in roles you might not expect. At P&G, our innovation starts by identifying everyday frustrations and finding meaningful ways to solve them. For many households, flying insects in the kitchen can disrupt moments that matter, especially during the summer hosting season. This led to the Zevo Flying Insect Trap and our recent collaboration with Antoni Porowski, sharing practical kitchen tips for keeping spaces guest ready all season long. Using blue & UV light, Zevo works 24/7 to help keep pests out of sight so hosts can focus on their guests not the pests! Wellbeing at work often starts with something simple: noticing and asking. When Aline sensed a shift in a teammate's energy, she leaned in with empathy. What followed was an honest conversation, flexibility and ongoing support, including giving space to prioritize mental health. Over time, the impact was real. The teammate returned re‑energized, re‑engaged, and even went on to help create open conversations about mental wellbeing across the organization. "If we don’t have mental wellbeing, we may not have anything else," Aline says.
