About us
Project Access is a global non-profit startup fighting for equal access to top universities. We help underprivileged students apply for, gain admission to and succeed at top universities – for students, by students and forever free of charge THE PROBLEM Bright students from underprivileged backgrounds are severely underrepresented at the world’s top universities, because they face a number of barriers: 1. They're less likely to apply, because they are lacking role models to identify with, which often leads them to undermatch or never apply to selective schools 2. They're less likely to receive an offer - Lacking information and application feedback, they are disadvantaged in the admissions process 3. They're less likely to graduate - Lacking support, they struggle academically and socially even after admission Learn more about the problem of unequal access in higher education, what Project Access does to address it and our impact by checking out our website; also, be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. Huge congrats to Celine Yang for winning our Mentor of the Month award this January 💙 From SAT prep to essays, Celine truly went above and beyond — carefully breaking down mistakes, sharing tailored resources, and always showing up with patience and encouragement. Beyond academics, she was a steady source of calm and confidence during some of the most stressful moments of the process, helping her mentee believe in their strengths and overall application. At Project Access, we believe that passion and potential define a person's future. And with mentors like Celine, we are getting one step closer every day to achieving equal access to higher education 💪 Thank you, Celine!

We’re so excited to share our very first Feedback Fairy of the Month — and to celebrate the amazing Miruna Cornaschi 🧚🏻♀️💫 Miruna has been a huge part of launching our new Essay Clinic, taking the time to give incredibly thoughtful, kind, and constructive feedback on dozens of mentee essays. Her dedication perfectly captures what makes this community so special: people showing up for students and helping open doors to top universities. ✍️ What’s the Essay Clinic? It’s a new feature on our platform where mentees can submit their application essays for anonymous review by experienced mentors — completely free, and in addition to 1-to-1 mentoring. 🌱 Why get involved? For mentees, it’s a chance to get extra support and confidence before hitting “submit.” For mentors, even a small time commitment can make a real difference in a student’s journey. We’re incredibly grateful for community members like Miruna who help make education more accessible, regardless of background! 🔗 Curious to join as a mentor or mentee? Find out more via the link in our bio.

We’re still carrying the positive energy from the Project Access London Summit earlier this October — a day filled with inspiring stories, new connections, and a shared passion for levelling the playing field 🚀🌟 A heartfelt thank you to WHU – Otto Beisheim School of Management for being one of our main sponsors and for surrounding our community with so much support and encouragement! Through panels and workshops, we broke down barriers around studying abroad and gave a glimpse into all things WHU: from applications and academics to the close, family-like campus culture. We’re grateful for WHU’s partnership in helping match opportunities with talent and empowering the PA community to dream big! 🫶🏻

Project Access reposted this
✏️ Last weekend I had the pleasure of attending the Project Access London Summit, where I got to hear panels and talks from an inspiring and diverse line-up of guests, united by the cause of 'Access to Agency'. Overall, it was incredible to hear the various approaches and learn from the guests' experiences coming from areas like education, NGOs, finance and more. One thing that stuck with me was from Lindsey MacDonald, PhD, who said "If you want to change the world, you have to be open to changing yourself.". There was a lot to take in, but it will certainly serve as inspiration going forward. Thank you to Project Access for organising such a special event!
