To mark the completion of a build-to-suit facility for Yamato Transport, our team in Japan held a traditional Shinto Shunkō-shiki ceremony, honoring the people and partnerships behind the project and marking the transition to safe and prosperous operations at the facility. Prologis Park Toyonaka redevelops a long-standing site in Toyonaka City into a modern last-mile hub designed to support daily collection and delivery. The four-story building spans approximately 11,800 square meters on a 4,500-square-meter site, with ramp access to every level and infrastructure for approximately 80 EV chargers. The celebration continued with kagami-biraki, where a sake barrel was opened to represent harmony and new beginnings, marking the transition from completion to daily operations in Toyonaka City.

Signed, sealed and written on the wall! We joined Marks and Spencer at the site of their largest ever supply chain investment to sign the steel frame. As their the built-to-suit facility continues its vertical build, local representatives and partners, including Stuart Andrew MP, Gist Limited and Winvic Construction Ltd, gathered to mark this major construction milestone. The 1.3M sq ft next-generation distribution centre at DIRFT is designed to transform how food moves across the UK. Together, we are building a faster, more efficient and more resilient national network for M&S.

Think about how many AI pilots actually stick once testing ends. The number may surprise you...only about 5% do. Our latest GROUNDBREAKERS Magazine article explores what companies are learning when trying to make AI work. 🧩 Data: must be structured and ready for use in real time. ⚙️ Systems: new innovations have to work in sync with existing ones. 👷 Human knowledge: needs to be documented and shared. 🤝 Trust: if people don't believe in it, they won't use it. 🏢 Physical space: creates a boundary for what types of automation can be deployed. Up to 50% of modern warehouses are expected to incorporate automation by 2035. This article details what you need to get right before implementation: https://prolo.gs/4ffyKL4

The forecast for our new partnership with CPA: sunshine and blue skies! On Thursday, our team went to Carson, California to flip the switch on 1 of 10 new solar projects that will all generate solar power for the local community. Through a partnership with Clean Power Alliance, directly serve about 4,670 homes. Residents in 38 underserved communities will see an estimated 20 percent savings on electricity bills.

Something exciting is afoot at Venlo DC9 in the Netherlands! This week marked the grand opening of Søstrene Grene's first international distribution center. And actually, one of the most exciting parts is underfoot, where the floor alone tells four different stories. The floors at this facility features four innovative designs that reduce joints, material use and embodied carbon while still meeting the demands of daily operations. Each takes a different approach to strength, thickness and cracking control. While the floors reduce the materials going into the building, the roof helps generate what comes out. A 700 kWp solar installation is expected to not only support operations for Sostrene Grene and supply renewable energy beyond the site. The entire steel structure is developed according to design for disassembly principles. Our partners weld at the production facility rather than on-site, enabling assembly using bolted connections and specially designed head and foot plates. This circular approach allows the structure to be efficiently dismantled, reused and repurposed in the future. The location supports more efficient transport flows and helps reduce emissions tied to distribution. These design decisions connect to Søstrene Grene's way of doing business. Our customer focuses on reducing emissions through material choices, transport, packaging and increased use of renewable energy. This built-to-suit facility extends that strategy into logistics. #EarthWeek https://prolo.gs/4tA7tYm

Last year, we surpassed 1 GW of solar and storage capacity. A milestone worth celebrating. So naturally, our Energy Solutions team celebrated by… adding more. In Q1 alone, 42 projects across Prologis properties added more than 200 MW of solar and storage, with California, New Jersey and Germany making up a big piece of it. Happy Earth Day from a team that’s always building what’s next 🌍 #EarthDay #OurPowerOurPlanet

From Girl Scout cookies to nearly $100 billion of real estate deals, Darla Longo’s career reflects both instinct and evolution across decades of logistics growth. On the latest episode of Moving the World, Darla shares how an early curiosity in how things are made turned into a front-row seat to one of the most transformative shifts in industrial real estate. Today, that perspective shapes how she sees the market: capital is coming back with a sharper focus on returns and demand is picking up across large-scale distribution and smaller bay spaces. Listen to the episode with Chris Burns for Darla’s take on where logistics real estate is heading next: https://prolo.gs/4sMX7D6

Just days before #EarthWeek, a site with history is stepping back into use. On Friday, we laid the foundation stone for a new project in Herne that brings a 36,400-square-meter brownfield site back into use. The site returns existing land to use, whereas the building will come together with a focus on reducing emissions. Among other things, we are using lower-carbon steel for the roof structure, alongside low-carbon concrete for the base plate, helping reduce emissions tied to construction while keeping future reuse in view. The roof is split between two roles: one layer planted, the other producing. A green roof sits alongside a 1 MW photovoltaic system that generates renewable energy for the site. And down in the parking lot, we will also wire this 20,500 sqm site for electric fleets, with charging infrastructure in place for employees’ cars. In places like the Ruhr region, where space is tight, there’s more to work with than meets the eye. Thanks to Herne’s Mayor Dr. Frank Dudda and representatives of Herne’s Economic Development Agency for joining us to mark the occasion.
