Measuring cell proliferation in 3D models with traditional methods has meant sacrificing sensitivity or adding complexity. Clara Gouez, a PhD student at Université de Bretagne Occidentale (Brest, France), found a solution using the Lumit® Cell Proliferation Assay. Clara detected subtle changes in cell proliferation in 3D spheroid models derived from human gastric cancer cells. Learn more from Clara about this project and the Lumit® Cell Proliferation Assay in the video below. Interested in applying this assay to your work? 3D culture models offer greater physiological relevance and better prediction of in vivo drug responses, but not all assays translate from 2D without careful evaluation. In this Ask the Experts webinar, specialists from Corning and Promega discuss how 3D structures affect assay performance and what to look for when selecting or adapting cell-based assays for 3D models. The session also covers non-lytic viability and cytotoxicity assays that enable multiplexing with nucleic acid purification and other functional readouts. Fc Effector Insight 02: Lot release considerations start early Antigen binding gets the attention. But it's the Fc region that does much of the heavy lifting. ADCC, ADCP, CDC pathways are central to how therapeutic antibodies drive immune response. Understanding them early isn't just good science; it's how you build a coherent Fc story early across binding and functional readouts to protect your program from surprises during quality control and lot release Learn more: https://ow.ly/sn1z50YS0UJ #AntibodyTherapeutics #Bioassays #ADCC #ADCP #CDC

Every ADC has multiple mechanisms working at once: payload delivery, Fc effector activity, and bystander killing. Understanding which mechanisms are driving efficacy is what separates a promising candidate from a pipeline risk. That's where functional assays matter most. Tools that measure internalization efficiency, cytotoxicity, and Fc receptor engagement give development teams the mechanistic picture needed to make confident go/no-go decisions earlier. What if a drug could sneak past the cell membrane in disguise and then recruit a protein-disposal system no drug has ever targeted before? A new Nature Chemical Biology paper describes exactly that. We break down the science in our latest blog: https://ow.ly/kEHM50YZzYh

CellTiter-Glo® 3D was designed for the complexity of 3D cell culture — multicellular models, single-addition format, no wash steps, and luminescent precision. It's a natural fit for automated liquid handling platforms, and this collaboration with MO:RE GmbH puts that to work in a standardized organoid workflow.
Great science is enabled by one thing: great tools that work together seamlessly. That's the thinking behind the partnership between MO:RE GmbH and Promega Corporation. The MO:BOT, developed by MO:RE GmbH, is an automated system designed to standardize multiple workflows involved in generating 3D cell culture and organoids. It provides a cutting-edge modular deck layout for flexible use in varying applications such as cell seeding, media exchanges, autonomous cell shape monitoring, and viability testing. Its precision pipetting enables the generation of highly uniform spheroids and organoids, which in turn improves robustness and reliability of downstream readouts. Promega’s CellTiter-Glo® 3D Cell Viability Assay was designed for exactly the kind of complex, multicellular 3D models we work with. Its single-addition, wash-free format is a natural fit for robotic liquid handling on the MO:BOT. No manual transfer steps, excellent assay precision, all built on the trusted luminescent assay technology known from Promega. The integration of gold standard cell-based assays and the MO:BOT brings connected answers to automated 3D cell culture and organoid generation. It provides a new level of standardization and reproducibility to tiring routine laboratory tasks currently performed manually. Together, we're helping researchers continue their cell health workflows in 3D models without starting over; the questions get more complex, but the answers stay connected.
