  • 📌 𝐀 𝐧𝐞𝐰 𝐩𝐡𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐄𝐒-𝐌𝐎𝐕𝐄 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐡𝐚𝐩𝐞! A Call for Ideas has been launched across 11 European territories to engage collaborative spaces in designing concrete actions for inclusion and empowerment of migrants and refugees. 🌍 In Rome, we’ve started a co-design journey with a selected group of co-working and multifunctional spaces, with the goal of developing initiatives that promote access, participation, and engagement of migrant communities. 🤝 This interaction phase - running until late September / mid-October - will lead to the signing of Grant Agreements with participating spaces. These will support the implementation of training, support services, and inclusive social activities. Stay tuned! We’ll keep you updated as we move forward in building more inclusive spaces together. #InclusiveWorkspaces #MigrantIntegration #RESMOVE #EUFunded #SocialInclusion #coworking #coworkingspace #AMIF #integration

  • 🌍🚀 New Guidelines for Inclusive Coworking Spaces! 🤝📖 The RES-MOVE partnership, co-funded by the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), has launched A Guide to Inclusive Coworking Spaces (ICS)—a practical roadmap for making coworking spaces more welcoming for migrants. 💡🏢 🔎 Why These Guidelines Matter: Coworking spaces can drive migrant integration, but challenges like language barriers, funding gaps, and skill undervaluation remain. The ICS Guidelines offer clear, actionable steps to help coworking spaces, policymakers, and businesses create inclusive and supportive environments. 📝 Backed by Research: These guidelines are based on insights from 11 European territories, with input from 115 migrants and 101 coworking space representatives. 📖 Guidelines and research findings are available at our website: https://lnkd.in/eBqfcPzk #InclusiveWorkspaces #MigrantIntegration #RESMOVE #EUFunded #SocialInclusion #coworking #coworkingspace #AMIF #integration

  • 📢 Final Report: Field Research on Inclusive Co-Working Spaces! 🌍🏢 We are excited to share the final report on our Field Research Survey Results, a key milestone in advancing inclusivity in collaborative and co-working spaces (CWCS) across Europe! 💡✨ As part of the RES-MOVE project, this research presents insights from interviews with 115 migrants and 101 CWCS representatives on topics of economic and social integration, inclusion, and migrant co-working experiences across 11 project territories: Athens, Nicosia, Ljubljana, Rome, Verona, Berlin, Vienna, Malmö, Paris, Amsterdam, and Valencia. 🔎 What did we do? ✅ Conducted a Training for Trainers session in Ljubljana to equip researchers with best practices for inclusive interviews. ✅ Collected insights from migrants and CWCS representatives across the EU to assess inclusivity challenges and opportunities. ✅ Compiled Local Reports summarizing key findings from each territory. 📖 The report is divided into three key sections: 1️⃣ Development of the Field Research – methodology, training, and data collection. 2️⃣ Research Findings – challenges and opportunities for inclusivity in CWCS. 3️⃣ Conclusions & Reflections – lessons learned and future pathways, including integrating the RES-MOVE project. This report is the result of a collaborative effort by the RES-MOVE community, partner institutions, and experts across Europe. 🌍🙏 We are deeply grateful for the knowledge, experiences, and contributions that made this research possible! 📢 Coming next week! We will be publishing A Guide to Inclusive Co-Working Spaces, which includes a set of guidelines for enhancing inclusivity practices in CWCS, based on the findings from the report. 👉 Read the full report here: https://lnkd.in/eBqfcPzk #RESMOVE #InclusiveCoworking #FieldResearch #MigrantCommunities #DiversityAndInclusion #CoworkingForAll #AMIF

  • 🌍✨Coworking for Inclusion: A New Perspective!✨🌍 Collaborative and coworking spaces (CWCS) are more than just shared offices—they are hubs of innovation, inclusion, and community building! The project Resources on the Move (RES-MOVE), co-funded by the EU Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund, explores how CWCS can support migrant inclusion and create opportunities for freelancers, startups, and creatives from diverse backgrounds. In July 2024 we published our Desk Research Report "Collaborative and Coworking Spaces: A Perspective on Inclusivity", which dives deep into: 📌 History of coworking spaces 📌Taxonomy and Typology of CWCS 📌The role of CWCS in supporting migrant communities 📌The rise of rural coworking spaces 📌Gender inclusivity in coworking, focusing on migrant women & LGBTQ+ communities 📖 The report is available on our website: https://lnkd.in/eBqfcPzk Read more about how coworking spaces are shaping a more inclusive and innovative future in Europe! #RESMOVE #Coworking #MigrantInclusion #CommunityBuilding #EUproject #integration

  • 🌍 𝐅𝐢𝐞𝐥𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐞: 𝐂𝐚𝐧 𝐂𝐨𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐢𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝 𝐚 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐨𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐫 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐓𝐨𝐠𝐞𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫? Our recent field research in Rome explored the challenges and opportunities in the relationship between coworking spaces and the migrant community. We conducted 10 interviews with migrants from diverse backgrounds and 10 interviews with collaborative spaces engaged in social and inclusive issues. 🔹 For migrants, coworking spaces are imagined as welcoming environments—a place to share experiences, connect with professionals, and gain knowledge. Many see them as an opportunity to relaunch their professional activities or incubate new business ideas. 🔹 From the coworking side, while some reported a limited presence of migrants, many showed interest in the project’s objectives and expressed a real willingness to collaborate in the future. 🔸 The RES-MOVE project has the potential to act as a catalyst, strengthening the connection between coworking spaces and migrants. By fostering a broader network between coworking hubs, migrants, and public and private stakeholders, we can enhance integration opportunities and create a more inclusive and dynamic work environment. #RESMOVE #Coworking #MigrantInclusion #CommunityBuilding #EUproject

  • “…what can you cook right away No, I don't cook, I'm a teacher. No, I don't cook, I'm a tailor. So they have noticed some professions for this style in the society and for guys for example car mechanic, washing cars, cleaners and stuff like that.” These kind of biases is something that many people from the project’s target group get when they are in contact with authorities and that is why a project such as RES-MOVE is much needed. ℹ️The Swedish field research, both urban and non-urban places, gave us many strong indicators to work with. 17 respondents from the target group and 11 from collaborative spaces, were very dedicated to providing us with needs and prerequisites. 💡Most of the migrants had no experience of collaborative spaces. But when introducing them to the concept, they provide us with a huge variety in what they want to achieve in a collaborative space, for example startups study, create projects, teach people about nature. Although, they all said that some kind of mentor is much needed and many also suggested that the collaborative spaces should have employed with different backgrounds. Leisure activities in the collaborative space were something that also attracted many, most of them mentioned activities for children. 💡The incentive for most of the collaborative spaces is that they are open for everyone and do not have some exception for migrants when it comes to, for example, membership fee. Although, in some spaces that th public or the non-profit sector oversee, they provide extra support for migrants. All the spaces do not provide mentorship, but the space itself has a lot of members that wants to help. Many spaces are aware that an initiative as RES-MOVE could help them improve the heterogeneity in their collaborative space. 🔋The RES-MOVE project could be first step for the migrants to find their way to their dreams and getting closer to the society. Through the collaboration with different spaces it could build a more sustainable future for the migrant and the migrants family. #RESMOVE #Coworking #MigrantInclusion #CommunityBuilding #migrantintegration #EUproject #AMIF

  • Field research of coworking spaces and the migrant experience in Paris, France 🇫🇷 by PLACE Network 🔍 Key findings revealed that migrants value cultural inclusivity, adaptive pricing, and opportunities for international connections the most in collaborative spaces. A welcoming environment, such as good lighting, plants, and comfortable seating, also plays a significant role in fostering a sense of belonging. Coworking spaces, on the other hand, expressed that while they provide events 🎟️, networking opportunities, and other services, rising costs have led many to prioritize the space for companies and NGOs over individuals. The study gathered insights from 7 people with migration backgrounds and 10 coworking spaces. ✨ These findings underline the potential of the RES-MOVE project to bridge gaps for coworkers with migration backgrounds. Potential actions already described include training coworking staff, building partnerships with NGOs, and exploring accessible pricing systems. 🌟 Together, we can create coworking spaces that are inclusive and full of opportunity for everyone! 🚀 Stay up to date with the RES-MOVE project as we build a transnational network of inclusive coworking spaces 🌎✨ #RESMOVE #AMIF #EUFunded #Coworking #Research #Inclusivity
