I recently spoke with Supply Chain Dive about what retailers are prioritizing as demand grows, and one thing continues to stand out: strong customer relationships are what make last mile delivery successful. Speed matters, but so does communication, trust and execution. The strongest last mile partnerships happen when retailers and providers are working closely together, staying aligned operationally and adapting to customer expectations in real time. That collaboration becomes even more important as retailers navigate growing same-day demand alongside the realities of store operations, inventory positioning and fulfillment complexity.
