Milwaukee is going for a Guinness World Record attempt this Saturday 🌊 And it starts with something simple: people showing up. Milwaukee Riverkeeper’s latest River Basin Report Card highlights both meaningful progress and the ongoing challenges facing our waterways, from stormwater runoff to rising chloride levels to the impacts of climate change. It’s a reminder that what we do on land directly affects the health of our rivers, and ultimately Lake Michigan. On April 25, that awareness turns into action. Milwaukee Riverkeeper's 31st Annual Spring Cleanup will bring thousands of volunteers together across the region in a coordinated effort, this year with an official Guinness World Records attempt to set the record for the largest river cleanup. After the cleanup, the community will gather for Rock the Green’s 15th Annual Earth Day Celebration at the Harley-Davidson Museum, LLC, bringing together music, sustainability, and community impact in one place. If you’re in Milwaukee, I encourage you to take a moment to read more and consider joining the cleanup (free T-shirt included!) 👉 Read the full Riverkeeper blog + register here: https://lnkd.in/gH-cfegK #Milwaukee #EarthDay #Sustainability #ClimateAction #CommunityImpact #Water #Leadership #Volunteerism #MilwaukeeRiverkeeper

414 💚 Rock the Green — then to now For 16 years — beginning with our first Sustainability Festival in 2011, which was recognized in 2012 by A Greener Future (UK) as one of the greenest festivals in the world — Rock the Green has been rooted in a simple idea: that music can bring people together to inspire action and connection around sustainability. That work was further recognized by the festival industry at FestForums, where Rock the Green received the Special Convergence Award in 2016 — highlighting the intersection of music, sustainability, and community impact. This year marks our 15th annual Earth Day celebration, and that story continues with artists who have been part of the journey along the way — including Trapper Schoepp, De La Buena, and Ethan Keller — each returning to the stage with deep ties to past Rock the Green events. From early Earth Day gatherings outside Milwaukee’s City Hall (in the snow) to our pedal-powered stage today, local music has always been at the heart of what we do — creating space for community, creativity, and shared purpose. We’re also proud to continue integrating sustainability in tangible ways. This year, Schoepp Seeds — a project connecting music, art, and regenerative practices — will be available on-site, offering attendees a way to carry that experience forward beyond the event itself. 📍 April 25, 2026 • Harley-Davidson Museum, LLC Campus • Milwaukee, WI Free • Zero-waste • Open to the community A special thank you to our presenting partners — the City of Milwaukee’s Environmental Collaboration Office and Milwaukee Riverkeeper — for their continued leadership and collaboration in bringing this event to life. We look forward to gathering as a community once again. #EarthDay #Sustainability #Milwaukee #Community #ZeroWaste #414

We’re celebrating 15 years of Rock the Green’s Earth Day Celebration in Milwaukee—what started in 2012 as a sustainability-focused music gathering with eco-education, and has always been grounded in a zero-waste, community-powered approach. What’s always mattered most is bringing people together around music, environmental action, and shared experience. This year includes Trapper Schoepp and De La Buena, along with 40+ local nonprofits and community organizations—groups like Bublr Bikes, Schlitz Audubon Nature Center, Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, Hunger Task Force, Restoring Lands: A Wisconsin Land Trust, Milwaukee Parks Foundation —and a mix of experiences, from wellness and interactive education to a few unexpected moments (🐐goat yoga, added a few years ago and now a consistent sell-out). Grateful to continue this work alongside longtime partners like Milwaukee Riverkeeper and the City of Milwaukee's Environmental Collaboration Office. April 25 at the Harley-Davidson Museum, LLC campus. Earlier in the day, you can also be part of Milwaukee Riverkeeper’s 31st Annual Spring Cleanup, taking place from 9 AM–noon. If you’re in Milwaukee, we'd love to see you there. https://lnkd.in/gAUtVcJu

Milwaukee’s climate work continues to move from vision to action. We’re proud to partner with the City of Milwaukee's Environmental Collaboration Office (ECO), a collaborator with Rock the Green since our first sustainability festival in 2011 and the launch of our Earth Day Celebration in 2012. In our latest blog, we highlight the progress being made across the city—from expanded access to clean energy and building efficiency to the growth of community-based climate initiatives—along with the leadership behind it. We also recognize Director of Environmental Sustainability Erick Shambarger as the 2026 Dan Aukofer Earth Day Rockstar Award recipient, in recognition of his role in advancing this work. #Sustainability #ClimateLeadership #Milwaukee #CleanEnergy #CommunityImpact https://lnkd.in/gJTGRjmW
