Our achievement team spent yesterday on something easy to overlook: how leaders use their own time. Not how teachers plan — how leaders prep to lead teacher professional learning, and sharpen intellectual prep before it ever reaches a classroom. No one sees the hour a principal spends anticipating student misconceptions, or the care it takes to give feedback that actually strengthens a lesson — not just approve it. But that hour is where the bar gets upheld. We're chasing 60% average proficiency and all-green campuses this year. Teams get as good as their leaders coach, develop and manage them. That's rigor and love, in practice. Rigor, because we refuse to lower the bar on what students deserve. Love, because we invest real time in the adults who make that bar reachable.

Every RMP high school student now has something in common: they’re attending and graduating from a 🟢 Green-rated school. Both Rocky Mountain Prep high schools earned Green ratings on Colorado’s School Performance Framework. For us, that’s more than a rating. It’s a reflection of the work our students and educators are doing every day and an important step toward ensuring every RMP student has access to an excellent school. We’re proud of this milestone. And we’re ready to keep building on it. 💚

As a charter school network in Denver Public Schools, we love getting to connect with our partners. Earlier this week, RMP Westwood welcomed DPS Superintendent Dr. Alex Marrero and his team to their school. During the visit, they stopped in history, art, language arts and science classes to see our students and educators in action. We are so proud of the work we are doing and loved the opportunity to show off our staff and students. Thank you Westwood Principal Danielle Quintana, Dr. Marrero and Natalie Rubio for making this such a wonderful visit.

Welcome back to school, RMP! After weeks of prep work and coaching, seeing our classrooms full again makes all that effort worth it. Thank you to all the teachers and staff for everything you’ve poured into preparing for another year of rigor and love. Our network leaders are out in the buildings this week working right alongside you to keep that momentum going as lessons get underway. We were so glad to have board members Brian Eschbacher and Charlotte Brantley join our Fletcher students for breakfast Having our board right there on the ground with our kids on day one sets such a great tone for the year ahead. Here’s to a great school year!

This week we are welcoming new teachers to RMP. Our new teachers are spending the week learning how to show up for our students, lead with love and and how our rigorous academic experience prepares all of our students for a choice-filled life. Help us welcome our new teachers and wish them luck this year!
