  • On Thursday, May 14, #SFGiants employees joined over 400 volunteers from companies in the Downtown Volunteer Coalition (DVC) to give back to our city. The DVC empowers companies who call San Francisco home to make a difference through the revitalization of neighborhoods and restoration of the spaces we all enjoy. Giants employees spent the afternoon planting, weeding, laying mulch and more in Mission Bay Park. 🌱 Learn more at https://lnkd.in/g5Rr8Uqr 🪴

  • Great conversation at Sportico Invest West with Sixth Street’s Austin Bowers and Giants President & CEO Larry Baer on the future of sports, entertainment, and San Francisco waterfront development. From Oracle Park and one of the best fan experiences in sports to Mission Rock, Pier 48, and the Curran Theatre, we’re excited about the opportunity to help build a vibrant, year-round destination for our fans and the San Francisco community alongside our partners at Sixth Street.

Co-Head of Sports, Media and Entertainment Austin Bowers recently moderated a fireside chat with Larry Baer, CEO and President of the San Francisco Giants, at Sportico Invest West. Austin and Larry discussed why the Giants decided to bring in outside capital for the first time in 25 years, and how Sixth Street’s relationship with the team is not just about capital—it’s a true partnership. They also discussed the development of Mission Rock, a waterfront community being built right outside the ballpark. Between this new neighborhood, the restoration of Pier 48, and the historic Curran Theatre, Austin and Larry explored how the Giants are building a year-round destination for sports, media, and community. San Francisco is Sixth Street’s home, and we are incredibly proud to partner with a team that represents this great city.

  • We recently kicked off the year with our 9th annual Giants U Day, a dedicated day of learning, connection, and employee engagement ahead of the season. This year’s theme, Built for the Bay, reflected the spirit of who we are and what we create together through community, culture, innovation, and creativity. Employees heard from leadership, celebrated continued growth through our Training Camp communities, and engaged in a thoughtful art and storytelling experience with Late Nite Art. A highlight of the day was a visit to the Curran Theatre, where employees had the opportunity to explore the intersection of entertainment, the arts, and cultural experiences across the Bay Area. We closed the day back at Oracle Park with programming focused on creativity, play, and well-being in partnership with local small businesses and community organizations. Giants U Day served as a meaningful start to the year and a reflection of the values that continue to shape our organization. #SFGiants
