  • “Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.” — Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. This weekend, Sharp HealthCare team members proudly joined thousands of San Diegans at the annual San Diego MLK Jr. Parade. Walking together and connecting with our community, we honored Dr. King’s life and legacy through unity, service and togetherness. The parade is a powerful reminder of Dr. King’s enduring vision of equality and justice. May we continue to keep his dream alive.

  • Sharp HealthCare recently welcomed organizations from Japan, including the Development Bank of Japan (DBJ), the Japan Economic Research Institute (JERI) and JATCO Ltd., to the Sharp Prebys Innovation and Education Center. The visit centered on people, culture and learning, exploring how the careful integration of hardware, software and clinical workflows can support patients and care teams. We also shared how philanthropy through the Sharp Envision Campaign plays a vital role in advancing innovation, such as spatial computing, AI and robotic surgery, supporting our workforce and strengthening our ability to care for the communities we serve. We are grateful for the open exchange of perspectives and the opportunity to learn together. These conversations reinforce our focus on our purpose: making Sharp the best place to work, practice medicine and receive care. A special thank you to Tommy Korn, MD, Roberta Moran Curry and the team for their leadership in coordinating this visit. We look forward to pushing the boundaries of health care innovation to better serve our patients.
