Europe is expanding back into space. A new wave of NewSpace companies is rebuilding sovereign launch and reentry capability across the continent. How fast that expansion happens depends on how fast they can test. Propulsion development moves at the speed of test cadence. Every burn produces data that has to be aligned, compared, and fed into the next iteration. The faster the loop turns, the faster the rocket gets to the pad. The Exploration Company is testing the engines that will power Europe's next reentry capsule and lunar lander. Test stands in the UK. Engineers across France and Germany. Export controls that don't bend. Every test runs on Sift. The faster they turn the loop, the faster Europe gets back to orbit on its own terms. Full story in the comments.

Reviewing telemetry usually ends in screenshots and a long Slack message. You spend twenty minutes finding the second something went wrong. Another fifteen explaining where to look. Your teammate still opens a different view than the one in your head. The time series panel in Sift collapses that into one link. Open a channel, zoom in, share the URL. Your teammate opens the exact view you saw. First in our Explore 2 walkthrough series. Jeremy Parker on the Explore team breaks it down. https://lnkd.in/gs382WUf

The physical world doesn't get a hotfix. It doesn't get a rollback. Today, Sift is 80 people across two cities, with Austin Spiegel stepping into the CEO role and senior leaders joining from Meta, Anduril, Applied Intuition, Grafana, Palantir, and SpaceX. LA builds the best hardware in the world. SF has the best software, distributed systems, and AI talent. We're opening an office in SF to bridge that gap, and we're hiring in both cities. Read more in the comments.
Karthik Gollapudi and I started Sift because we believed every company should have the ability to build hardware the way we did at SpaceX. Four years later, we've raised $67M, assembled a world-class team, and work with some of the most impactful hardware companies in the world. Today, I am excited to step into the CEO role. Karthik will continue as a co-founder, focused on product vision and telling our story to the market. We're also opening a second office in San Francisco and welcoming a stellar senior leadership team: Michael Russell, VP Engineering, from Meta and Riot Games Noah Lucas, VP Product, from Anduril, Serve Robotics, and Postmates Benjamin Schmidt, Head of Sales, from Applied Intuition Russ Parrish, Head of Design, from SpaceX, Intuitive Surgical, and IBM Quynton Johnson, Director of Product Marketing, from Grafana, Carta, and LinkedIn Bill Raj-Derouin, Founding Engineer, from Palantir and SpaceX, relocating to SF LA builds the best hardware in the world. SF has the best talent in software, distributed systems, and AI. For people who want to bridge that gap, we're coming to you. 80 people, 2 cities, and we're just getting started. If you're as excited about the future as we are, we're hiring across LA and SF. Full story in the link below.

Announcing Longshot Space Technologies Corporation as a Sift customer. Longshot is building a kinetic launch system, a ground-based accelerator that uses timed gas injections to push payloads through a miles-long barrel at hypersonic speeds. The infrastructure stays on Earth. Near-term, they're closing America's hypersonic testing gap. Long-term, orbital launch at a cadence rockets can't touch. This is the kind of mission Sift was built to support.

The Black Flag 100 reaffirms what the next generation of builders looks like. The teams on this list are solving the world's hardest problems across defense, aerospace, robotics, and energy. Real systems, real physics, real consequences. Sift exists to enable the most capable teams in the world to build, test, launch, and scale the most challenging hardware. Proud to be a BlackFlag partner. If you're on this list, reach out. We'd love to support the work.
500+ founders. 1,500+ nominations. 100 companies. The Black Flag 100 is back 🏴☠️ The premise is simple. Founders know who's building the next great companies, so we asked them one question: "Which early-stage companies are you most excited about right now?" (Only rules: Out of stealth in the last two years, not on last year's list) We tally up the 100 most-nominated companies and the BF100 for 2026 is ready to set sail. The list also celebrates the great investors backing these companies. Here's what they're building: 🛡️ 27% Defense 🚀 22% Aerospace 🤖 22% Robotics & Manufacturing 🧠 19% AI And where: 🌉 40% Bay Area 🏖️ 20% SoCal 🗽 18% East Coast 🤠 8% Texas Hard tech. Hard problems. The next generation of critical technology, being built mostly on the coasts and increasingly everywhere. To every founder on the list, and every founder still out there chasing storms over certainty: keep building. We need you. It's a pirate's life 🏴☠️ Full list in the comments.

The judgment your engineers build today should still be working for the team five years from now. Right now, most of it lives only in their heads. The thermal signature one engineer learned to read at 3am. When they leave, it leaves with them. It doesn't have to. Picture the engineer joining next month inheriting that judgment, not just a spec. Tests running faster because review isn't the bottleneck. A senior engineer moving on without their judgment going with them. Sift makes that real. Annotations live next to the telemetry. One engineer's insight becomes a rule that runs on every future test. Every test campaign should leave the team smarter than the last. The next vehicle starts where the last one ended. https://lnkd.in/g9gh9y3g

Congrats to the K2 Space Corporation team on the Golden Dome partnership with Anduril Industries. Hosting Space Based Interceptors on Mega-class satellites is the kind of upper-bound work that defines what comes next. The scale unlocks missions that aren't possible on smallsats. We're still very early for where space is going. The orbital architecture five years out will look almost nothing like what's flying today. K2 is writing that chapter.
K2 Space is proud to announce that we are partnering with Anduril Industries on the Pentagon’s Golden Dome missile defense program. K2 will be providing our proven Mega-class satellites to host Space Based Interceptors. Our satellites are bigger and more powerful than anything on orbit, and we’re thrilled to be selected for Golden Dome to demonstrate what these high power, high payload mass satellites can bring to the warfighter. The clock is ticking on a failed propulsion test, and a GNC engineer needs answers fast. The problem? They're digging into a different team's subsystem, which means battling unfamiliar naming conventions and a new schema version from last night's software update. You shouldn't have to learn another team's naming rules or master SQL/Flux syntax just to debug a critical failure, but on most platforms, that's exactly what's required. We built Sift differently. Sift delivers sub-second search results across over 200 million channels of sensor data, empowering engineers to find exactly what they need instantly, even in subsystems they've never touched.
