  • Average daily visits to LinkedIn's website on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day were 42.1 million. This was 38% lower than the average for Wednesdays and Thursdays (67.9 million) throughout the rest of the year. Daily Active Users (DAU) also saw a drop, though much smaller (-16%), with 58.8 million DAUs over Christmas Eve and Day compared to 70.2 million on typical Wednesdays and Thursdays earlier in the year. This contrasts with trends on other social media apps, which generally see increased usage during holidays (Instagram, for example, experienced a 1.7% spike in DAUs). It aligns more closely with productivity platforms and Gen AI tools. Gemini, for instance, saw a 7% drop in website visits during Christmas compared to the same days over the previous three weeks.
