The first few years of life are critical for speech, language, and brain development. For babies born with hearing loss, early intervention can make a life changing difference. Through our SP Cares initiative, Solomon Page is proud to support Sound Start Babies and their mission to help infants and toddlers with hearing loss develop listening, speaking, and communication skills comparable to their hearing peers. Through a collaborative team of specialists including audiologists, speech language pathologists, teachers of the deaf, and occupational and physical therapists, families receive the tools and strategies they need to support their child’s development every day. By the time children transition from the program at age three, approximately 77% develop listening and spoken communication skills that form the foundation for future learning.
