Strava is teaming up with Starbucks on a new challenge designed around one simple idea: that everyday movement, a morning walk, a quick run, is worth celebrating. The Starbucks® Coffee & Protein Level Up Challenge launches May 21 on Strava, inviting our community to walk or run 22 minutes a day. No PR required. No experience threshold. Just consistent, feel-good movement built into the rhythm of your morning. This partnership is rooted in celebrating simple upgrades and the belief that showing up daily, at whatever pace, is the whole point. Excited to see what our community does with this one.

Recently, we had the pleasure of welcoming 10 students from the University of Georgia Black Business Students Association to Strava HQ as part of the Silicon Valley Seminar — a program sponsored by our investor Greg Gretsch of Jackson Square Ventures to introduce a select group of undergraduates to entrepreneurship, technology, and venture capital. Chosen competitively from a large applicant pool, the students came to learn about careers and opportunities in the startup world they might not otherwise have been exposed to, and we loved getting to be a stop on that journey. Programs like this one matter, and we're proud to open our doors to the next generation of builders every year.

Every athlete has been here: sidelined, watching their feed fill up with PRs and summit photos, quietly disappearing from the community they need most. Our Sr. Director of Product, Michelle Chang, knows the feeling firsthand. "In all my injuries, I've always slunk away and disappeared from Strava," she said. After tearing her ACL on a ski run earlier this year, she decided that had to change. Strava just launched Physical Therapy as a sport type, because injury isn't a detour from an active life. For most people, it's nearly a statistical certainty. 73% of women runners are injured over a two-year period. 60% of Olympic athletes get injured during training. Read Michelle's full story and learn more about Physical Therapy on Strava at the link in comments.

World-class athletes use world-class tools. Congrats to Navan CFO Aurélien NOLF on 100 miles this weekend, and thanks to Navan for being the travel partner that keeps Strava moving.

I got to run 100 miles this past weekend! It’s incredible how the process looks like managing a career or operating a business: it’s a long race (don’t we always tell our teams: “it’s a marathon, not a sprint”! 😀 ) and there’s always a point when the plan breaks. From there it’s all about managing what’s left: energy, focus, decisions.  Big thanks to an awesome Navan customer, Strava, for keeping me honest this weekend and during my preparation phase: if it's not on Strava, it didn’t happen!

The London Marathon just rewrote the record books, and Strava athletes felt every mile of it. 60% of Strava runners logged London as their fastest marathon ever, and for 5% of runners on Strava, their last mile was their fastest. Jordan Adams even tracked all 26.2 miles on Strava while carrying a 25kg fridge to raise awareness for frontotemporal dementia. This is the community we're proud to serve. #Strava #LondonMarathon

Happy Earth Day! 🌍 Today we're publishing the first-ever Strava Metro: Commute Report, and the numbers speak for themselves. In 2025, cyclists worldwide logged 550,000,000 miles of bike commutes on Strava. That's 22,000 laps around the Earth. Boomers led the charge. Iceland topped the e-bike rankings. And from Finland's sub-zero winters to Japan's summer heat, people kept riding. Every commute logged on Strava does more than track a journey. It feeds Strava Metro, a free dataset used by over 4,000 city planners and infrastructure decision-makers worldwide to build better, safer routes for everyone. Nearly 1 billion people have been positively impacted as a result. Learn more about the Commute Report at the link in the comments. 🔗 #Strava #EarthDay #WorkCommute #Commuting

Where's the most commuted Strava segment in the United States? New York City, of course. 🗽 During peak rush hour, our own Matthew Lucier hit the streets to find out how many miles cyclists are logging during their commutes in the Big Apple. In 2025, cyclists worldwide logged 550,000,000 miles of bike commutes on Strava. That's 22,000 laps around the Earth. NYC is doing its part. #Strava #EarthDay #Commuting #WorkCommute

Your furry friend has been your best training partner all along. 🐾 We're excited to partner with IAMS™, Mars' pet nutrition brand. Together, we're introducing Pet Tag on Strava, a new way to log activities with your pet, plus exclusive community challenges designed for pet and human movement. 76% of Strava users say their furry companions motivate them to get moving, yet fewer (40%) feel their neighborhoods are truly pet friendly. This collaboration commits to bridging that gap, bringing pet parent communities together to share experiences with their pets. Thank you to Poul Weihrauch and the Mars team for believing in the power of community, and for every pet who's ever dragged their owner out the door for a run. 🐕 #Strava #IAMS #pets #wellness

If it's not on Strava, it didn't happen… With 76% of Strava users who have pets saying their pets motivate them to get moving, Mars and Strava are now giving you the chance to take on new challenges while both you and your pet get active. With a pilot program in the United States, this new partnership with IAMS™ aims to motivate millions of pet parents to move more with their pets. It is also an important step in our mission to foster more pet-friendly spaces and communities through our Mars BETTER CITIES FOR PETS™ program. Throughout the year, IAMS™ will launch a series of challenges on the Strava platform with exclusive use of the ‘Pet Tag’ designed to encourage active lifestyles for pet parents and their pets. Those efforts will be backed by nutrition innovation from IAMS™ to help support pets on every adventure.   Do you have a pet? Let me know in comments how your pet is helping you to stay active. #ProudlyMars

Every month, women on Strava are doing something worth talking about. In March, the women of our community logged some of the most remarkable moments we've ever spotted. Olympic champions. A Dallas Cowboys cheerleader logging her lunch break dance session. Marathon finish lines set as goals during chemo. A Strava employee taking gold at a local 5K. Every single moment logged on Strava. 🧡 #SpottedOnStrava #WomensHistoryMonth
