This is the quiet shift behind almost every conversation in business right now. AI is not just changing what gets built. It is changing how fast the skills required to build it expire. The senior engineer who was the best in the room two years ago is now competing with a 24-year-old who learned five new tools last quarter. No company can hire its way through this. The math doesn't work. Every role you backfill externally is a role that will need to be reskilled again in eighteen months. The only durable advantage in an AI-shaped economy is the speed at which your existing people learn. But unfortunately that is precisely what the existing learning stack was never built for. • Course catalogs assume skills are stable. • LMS platforms assume one program for one cohort. • Instructional design assumes six months of runway. • None of those assumptions hold anymore.
