What an incredible night with Possible yesterday in their Seattle office 🏔️ Tracie Hlavka gave a super insightful presentation on what happens when AI makes writing code the fastest part of the system. Although writing code has been made fast by AI, shipping is a totally different story and Tracie had a lot to share on her experiences about how developers are being squeezed on both sides. The crowd was super engaged and it was so much fun to gather such a passionate group of women in tech! Thank you so much to Scott Simmons and Anvitha Bavineni for making this event possible (pun intended) 🤍

The Seattle tech scene is so vibrant. Tonight was another cracking event hosted by Tech Ladies® with an excellent lighting talk from Tracie Hlavka , VP of Engineering at Possible . I loved the fresh and very authentic perspective on AI, engineering and careers. “AI isn’t making our jobs smaller, just making them different. The people who will thrive will make that adjustment “ “Learn how to use AI for as a force multiplier for building the right thing…” “The market is hard, especially if you are early career. We are in a transition and transitions are uncomfortable. “ #womenintech #ai #careers #artificialintelligence #seattle

We had the opportunity through Tech Ladies® #virtualsummit to learn from thought leaders on "Upskilling with AI," "Getting Hired in Today's Market," and the "AI Ladder: From First Steps to Full Transformation." Thank you Stephanie Posner, Caitlyn Brennan, and Nelly Yusupova, for your empowering sessions! Key Takeaways: -Start with a problem (you want to solve) when using AI -Check your own work, maintain quality, and ask for feedback, when using AI -Keep making human connections and know your human value add -Be concise in your communication Today is a great day to lean into AI - pick a problem and start building a solution! Thank you Kelly Jamison for bringing this summit to the #techladies community - looking forward to the next event! #aiadoption #womenintechnology #professionaldevelopment

AI is reshaping how organizations source, screen, and select talent — but speed and efficiency aren’t the same as good judgment. We’re excited to partner with PowerToFly for an upcoming fireside chat featuring one of our amazing community members and guest speaker, Lyndsay Sanborn, MHPA. Lyndsay is an AI strategist and founder of Frame + Forge AI Strategy Studio, working at the intersection of AI and reproductive healthcare — one of the most ethically and legally complex spaces in tech. With 25 years inside mission-driven organizations, she brings deep expertise in AI governance and human-centered strategy. She works with leaders who can’t afford to get AI wrong and has built practical frameworks to help them get it right. In this conversation, she’ll go beyond the surface-level conversation on AI in hiring and explore what responsible AI adoption actually requires from talent leaders today. We’ll cover: - How to evaluate AI tools in hiring with a governance and risk lens - Lyndsay’s AI Fit Test framework applied to real hiring scenarios - How to keep humans meaningfully in decision loops without slowing teams down - The key leadership questions to ask before your next AI decision **This event will also be eligible for SHRM credits. Excited to partner with PowerToFly and to feature Lyndsay in conversation with our communities! Register here: https://lnkd.in/dxPdWZ3W

If you could ask a recruiter anything right now… what would it be? The job market has changed. A lot. And most of the advice out there hasn’t caught up. So we’re creating space to ask directly. At the Tech Ladies Virtual Summit on April 30, we’re hosting a live Recruiter AMA with Caitlyn Brennan from Copia Automation. Caitlyn leads recruiting across both technical and non-technical roles and brings a really unique perspective from working across industries and global teams. This is your chance to get real answers on: • What recruiters are actually looking for right now • Why strong candidates get passed over • How to stand out without over-optimizing your resume • What hiring teams wish candidates understood If you’ve been applying and not hearing back… or just trying to make sense of what’s changed, join us! https://lnkd.in/grbRTvMh

The tech job market has changed. But the harder part is this: no one’s totally sure what to focus on now. AI is moving fast. Hiring is shifting. The old playbook doesn’t quite apply anymore. So instead of guessing, we’re bringing people together to figure it out in real time. On April 30, we’re hosting the Tech Ladies Virtual Summit. It’s a half-day experience focused on learning together, not just listening. Yes, we’ll have incredible speakers joining us... but we’ll also have space to connect, ask questions, and share what we’re all seeing. Here’s what that looks like: • A fireside chat on AI upskilling without burning out • A practical AI masterclass you can actually use • A live recruiter AMA on getting hired today • Small group breakout sessions We’re excited to learn alongside speakers like Stephanie Posner and Nelly Yusupova, and with hiring partners like Caitlyn Brennan at Copia Automation. If you’ve been feeling stuck or unsure where to focus, this is a space to get clarity and move forward. Joins us April 30th: https://lnkd.in/grbRTvMh

Join us on May 12th in Seattle with Possible to hear from Tracie Hlavka and meet with the rest of the team. We can't wait to see you there! #seattle #meetup https://lnkd.in/eBJWz3Nu
Proud to present a #seattle #meetup with Tracie Hlavka speaking on "The Squeeze". When engineering velocity outpaces specs, reviews, QA, and governance, developers end up squeezed from both sides. And as AI makes it easier for non-engineers to build too, that squeeze starts reshaping what the job actually is. Join us for a candid look at what's breaking, what's changing, and what developers should be paying attention to right now.
