  • Today, we unveiled our “Rebel” edition uniform, marking a major milestone as our team prepares to tip off its inaugural home opener. The Rebel jersey is part of an alternate uniform program across the WNBA designed to reflect each team’s energy, spirit, values and local influences, bringing emotional connection, cultural authenticity and a peak expression of each team’s identity to the court. The Tempo’s Rebel uniform is designed to represent Canada’s team. “Tempo” sits centre chest - a statement that while the team is based in Toronto, its home is all of Canada. The team’s secondary “T” icon anchors the chest, with speed lines extending outward as a nod to pace, push, and the team’s style of play. Rendered in Borealis Blue, the uniform offers a cool, northern counterpoint to Tempo Bordeaux, capturing the balance of the team’s visual identity. Subtle bends in the short linework reflect the fluidity of the game, reinforcing a design that is dynamic and constantly in motion. The jersey also features patches from the team’s Founding Partners, SEPHORA and CIBC. Sephora’s logo appears on the shoulder, while CIBC’s patch is located on the abdomen. “The Rebel jersey is where we push boundaries and fully express who we are as the Toronto Tempo,” said Whitney Bell, Chief Marketing Officer, Toronto Tempo. “It’s bold, unapologetic, and rooted in the energy of our city. Every detail is designed to celebrate individuality, creativity, and the next generation of athletes and fans redefining the game.   • On the day of our inaugural debut, we are proud to launch First Never Fades -  a campaign that memorializes a historic moment in Canadian basketball. Rather than just centering on our team alone, First Never Fades is built on co-authorship. It commemorates our team’s firsts: our first roster, our first tip-off, our first home game on Canadian soil, but it equally celebrates the firsts that our fans, players, and country are creating alongside us. The first fan through the gates, the first kid in the stands, the first jersey pulled on. Every "first" belongs to someone, and they are all worth memorializing.   • Today, we launched our organization’s inaugural philanthropic arm, the Tempo Basketball Foundation. The Tempo Basketball Foundation will begin with a focus on improving the physical, mental and social health of women and girls across Canada, fueling the important work of Tempo Impact, the team’s community platform announced in March. Tempo Impact and the Tempo Basketball Foundation will work hand-in-hand, with Tempo Impact rooted in local communities, and Tempo Basketball Foundation providing funding to support community programs.
