Intern week and crawfish season hit at the same time. No better crew to share it with than the next generation of talent alongside our customers and partners. Last week, we welcomed 14 interns to DFW as part of a company-wide intern week across Meriton's operating companies. They got hands-on HVAC training, leadership panels, and a site visit featuring YORK chillers and BAC cooling towers up close. We also kept one of our favorite traditions alive with the annual customer crawfish boil. Live jazz, beignets, beer on tap, and the kind of connections that define this industry. 🦞🎷 Ten years in and the program keeps getting better. Welcome to the team, interns. Here's to a great summer!

Exciting upgrades are underway at Dallas Love Field Airport for the Dallas Love Field Garage Concourse A&B project. After careful redesign, double and triple checks, the new custom Temtrol units by Nortek Air Solutions fit like a glove on the previous manufacturer’s curbs. These upgrades will help keep the airport parking garage concourses cool during the Texas summer heat while improving overall system performance, reliability, and efficiency. A major benefit to the customer was maintaining manufacturer consistency across the airport, with Temtrol equipment already serving existing airport terminals. The project also brought improved construction quality and updated HVAC technology to the facility. Another big win was delivering a full controls package through our in-house controls team. The custom-designed control panels were created for seamless integration into the existing BAS system. Giving back to the community is something our team truly values at Texas AirSystems. Our Houston office recently partnered with Habitat for Humanity Houston to build a farm-themed playhouse for two young brothers in the foster care system. Since 1987, Habitat for Humanity Houston has helped more than 7,000 individuals through affordable housing, home repairs, and neighborhood revitalization initiatives. A team of 9 TAS Houston volunteers spent the day building a space designed to encourage creativity, imagination, and countless hours of fun. Knowing this playhouse will bring joy to these kids and support a meaningful mission in our community made it a day worth showing up for. Celebrating Cinco de Mayo across Texas AirSystems! Houston gathered for a Lupe Tortilla food truck lunch, a local favorite that never misses, and Austin brought the full fiesta with mariachis, frozen margaritas, and a birthday cake for our leader Ryan. Both offices showed up and showed out. Over in Dallas, the team turned it up with mariachis, a food truck, and something bigger than business. The Charitable Giving Committee hosted a Charity Open House alongside HVAC RNTL and Meriton, bringing in local nonprofits across a wide range of causes and giving every team member a chance to find something that resonates personally. This is what it looks like when a company works hard, has fun, and wins together!

On April 30 from 8:30–11:00 AM, Texas AirSystems will be at the College, Career & Military Expo, connecting with students as part of our high school trades initiative. We’re continuing to invest in early talent, especially at the high school level, by introducing students to meaningful, hands-on career paths in the skilled trades and commercial HVAC industry. When classroom humidity rises, learning suffers. Three elementary schools in Comal ISD were dealing with exactly that. Aging rooftop HVAC units that had outlived their service life and were losing the battle against Texas humidity.
