Most physical therapists are told its patient care 40hours/week or leave the profession. You have to choose between your passion vs your payceck. Your job vs your health. Rachel Stoffregen is the latest reason we don't believe in that binary. She joined the [P]rehab team this month in a 50/50 role. Half her week treating patients in our Culver City clinic Prehab Physical Therapy. And the other half her week as a clinical content educator at Prehab, helping shape the education the [P]rehab community sees. Physical therapists develop some of the most unique and underrated skills that translate well beyond the four walls of the clinic. We're trained to make critical decisions with incomplete information, communicate complex ideas to people in pain, build trust, motivate people to commit to plans that are uncomfortable. That skill set transfers directly to building products, platforms, content, and companies. There's an entire health tech ecosystem developing right now that needs more of us in it. ESPECIALLY in the MSK and prevention space. We need more leaders who actually understand the body, the patient journey, and the (broken) healthcare system. Prehab is built to be that kind of place. Somewhere a PT can flex skills that don't fit cleanly into either world. Welcome to the team, Rachel!
