  • AI's next leap will not be locked behind a screen. An excavator that reads soil conditions as it digs. An inspection robot that finds a stress fracture and repositions its sensors before anyone files a report. A freight vehicle that senses brake wear and adjusts mid-route. In his new Fast Company piece, "From digital intelligence to physical AI," Aviad Almagor, Trimble's VP of Technology and Innovation, traces the path from today's scripted automation to systems that perceive, reason, and act in real-world conditions. Everywhere you turn, the environments where work actually happens are getting smarter. Read Aviad's full piece on what that shift looks like, and which industries will lead it: https://lnkd.in/gpsNVv9K

Rob Painter put it well: match day is built on engineering and the organizational machine behind it. At last week's Trimble Tech Summit at the AXA Training Centre, leaders in construction and transportation explored how AI is moving from theory to real-world impact: delivering ROI, optimizing systems, and transforming how teams work. That's the spirit that drives the Trimble and Liverpool Football Club partnership. Thank you to LFC for the hospitality and partnership. More ahead as we continue merging the digital and physical worlds.

When I walk into a world-class stadium like Anfield, I'm drawn to the structure before the pitch. The engineering work behind the steel...the concrete...and the MEP work. The organizational machine that surrounds the team and makes a world-class match day possible. This past weekend in Liverpool, we held our Trimble Tech Summit at the AXA Training Centre, culminating in the LFC vs. Chelsea match. Leaders in construction and transportation joined us for an honest dialogue about where AI is actually delivering tangible ROI. We discussed moving beyond task optimization to true systems optimization, using AI to turn datasets into actionable information to solve higher-order problems. We also discussed the importance of humans in the loop and the effort required to transform how organizations work. A sincere thank you to Liverpool FC for their incredible hospitality, to the legendary David James for the conversation and the jersey, and to Kieron Bacon for the behind the scenes tour of Liverpool FC. Trimble is everywhere, and I am proud to see our technology contributing to the high-performance infrastructure at Anfield and the Academy. More to come soon about how this connected partnership is merging the digital and physical worlds. Stay tuned.

  • Trimble Geospatial and Project Pressure have released a centimeter-accurate 3D model of the receding glaciers on Puncak Jaya, mapped by drone-based photogrammetry and Trimble GNSS positioning. The model gives scientists a baseline for tracking the rate of recession. It gives nearby communities the data to adapt crop choices and prepare for the water shortages that follow the ice. Resilience starts with knowing what is changing. The work continues everywhere you turn.

Trimble Inc. is proud to continue our support of Project Pressure by providing advanced GNSS positioning technology and research funding for the nonprofit organization's latest expedition to map the disappearing tropical glaciers of Puncak Jaya in Papua, Indonesia. Project Pressure has released a centimeter-accurate, 3D model of the receding ice, created using Trimble positioning technology and drone-based photogrammetry. The model establishes a scientific baseline for calculating the rate of glacier recession and projecting the timeline of disappearance. Local communities also use the data to make informed choices about crop selection and prepare for expected water shortages caused by the loss of these vital reservoirs. This expedition marks the third successful outing in Project Pressure's Melting Topics series, which focuses on mapping equatorial glaciers. In Eastern Uganda, up to 70% of people live without reliable access to clean water and electricity. Through Nexus+, Trimble is partnering with Engineers Without Borders International and Engineers Without Borders-East Africa to change that, turning precision engineering into lasting infrastructure. Permanence depends on a connected system, every step enabling the next. Over 18 months, the project will deliver master plans that give the parishes a path to the funding to move forward. Steering the work is an advisory group of senior leaders from across the industry. On the ground, engineering students from EWB East Africa will gather data using Trimble technology. Follow the Nexus+ project’s progress at https://buildherthon.com/

  • Solving for individual workflows alone won't solve the need for true integrated site management. By connecting data in a straight line across the design, build, and operate phases, firms are better set up to build a cohesive strategy with a clearer picture. Focusing on better tools isn't enough - the future is about building better connections.

  • Every day, women shape the built environment. They enter it, deliver on it, and lead it. BuildHerThon puts them at the heart of it. The Skills Exchange connects women leaders, emerging professionals, and students through structured mentoring across the industry. That network is already powering Nexus+, a community-led infrastructure program with Engineers Without Borders-East Africa in Eastern Uganda. The work doesn't stop, and neither do they. Planning, building, and connecting at every turn.

BuildHerThon is taking shape. A Trimble Inc. platform designed to place women at the centre of how the built environment is shaped, delivered and evolved. It brings together leadership, real world infrastructure projects and future talent into one connected system, where insight is applied in practice and technology is demonstrated through delivery. The industry is facing growing complexity across infrastructure, climate and energy, while also needing to strengthen the workforce that will shape what comes next. BuildHerThon connects these priorities. Nexus+ in Eastern Uganda, delivered in partnership with Engineers Without Borders-East Africa, is the first flagship project, demonstrating how this model is applied in practice, with more to follow. Alongside this, the BuildHerThon Skills Exchange is being developed as a structured mentoring and knowledge network, connecting women leaders, emerging professionals and students across the built environment. This is not a standalone initiative. It is a platform designed to strengthen how the industry develops future talent and delivers infrastructure in a more connected and effective way.
