  • During Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Week, TriStar Centennial Medical Center joins our broader HCA Healthcare network in recognizing the first responders and EMS professionals – both in our communities and across our organization – who answer the call when patients need care most. Each year, approximately 10 million patients receive care in HCA Healthcare emergency rooms and many of those patients rely on EMS professionals for safe, timely transport to our ERs, as well as critical care along the way. We’re proud to honor these dedicated first responders and EMS teams. Thank you for showing up with skill, courage and compassion every hour of every day. We’re grateful for the life-saving care you provide and the steady support you bring to the patients and communities you serve. #HealthierTomorrows #EMSWeek

  • Thanks to the Nashville Business Journal and Nikki Ross for featuring TriStar Centennial Medical Center CEO Tom Ozburn in today’s “The Boss” profile: “Tom Ozburn has an eye for art, heart for healthcare.” From studying art to earning a degree in healthcare administration, Tom shares the journey that inspired his career in healthcare and the importance of human connection in leadership. Today, he leads HCA Healthcare’s TriStar Division’s largest hospital — and every Thursday, his French bulldog Minnie Pearl joins the team as a therapy dog, bringing smiles while making her rounds. We’re proud to see Tom’s story and leadership highlighted. https://bit.ly/4ntfbkx

  • A parent’s instinct can be powerful — especially when something doesn’t feel right. Emily’s mom knew something was wrong when her baby became lethargic and developed a fever. Trusting her instincts, she brought her to the hospital, where Emily was diagnosed with bacterial meningitis. After several weeks of care, her mom shared, “I feel like everyone here has taken it very seriously from day one. The nurses are kind of all your family.” Her story is a meaningful reminder for parents and caregivers: trust your instincts. In infants, symptoms like fever, unusual sleepiness, persistent fussiness or changes in feeding may need prompt medical evaluation. By sharing stories like Emily’s, we can help families better understand when to seek care. Free health-related advice is just a phone call away. Our licensed nurses can help you understand your symptoms, answer questions and guide you to the right care. Call Consult-A-Nurse: (844) 706-8773 💙

  • As we celebrate graduation season and the next generation of nurses, we’re proud to recognize Travis and the purpose that led him to this work. Travis began his journey in patient transport and later served as a nurse extern on the cardiac floor while earning his nursing degree from Tennessee State University. But for him, nursing is more than a profession — it’s personal. After witnessing his mother overcome breast cancer and supporting his father through prostate cancer before losing him to cardiac arrest, Travis understands the impact of being there for patients and families during life’s most difficult moments. Today, he carries that perspective into every shift, delivering compassionate, patient-centered care and honoring his family’s story through his work. At TriStar Centennial Medical Center, nurses like Travis make high-quality, patient-centered care possible every day. Congratulations to Travis — and to all graduates stepping into meaningful work that truly makes a difference. 💙 #PatientCenteredCare #AdvancedCardiacCare #HospitalWeek

  • Thanks to Beth Warren and The Tennessean for today’s story, “How high-risk pregnancies are saved at one Nashville hospital.” The story highlights Williamson County resident Abbey Watkins, who learned in her second trimester that she had a serious condition making her pregnancy high-risk. After two scans, she was diagnosed with placenta previa and, placenta accreta — a rare and more dangerous complication. Watkins, 39, placed her trust in TriStar Centennial Medical Center’s Placenta Accreta Program. This highly specialized team of nurse navigators, physicians, and surgeons—formed five years ago—works together to carefully coordinate prenatal care and develop detailed birth plans focused on delivering a healthy baby while protecting the mother. Stories like Abbey’s are a powerful reminder of the importance of expert, coordinated care for complex pregnancies found at TriStar Centennial Women's Hospital. #HighRiskCare https://lnkd.in/ey4W4eqv

  • This #NursesWeek, we’re celebrating the compassionate care and dedication of our Labor & Delivery team 💙 Michelle and Ashley share that their philosophy centers on individualized care—honoring that childbirth is one of the most important days in a patient’s life. Their goal is to educate, advocate, and comfort every patient while helping create the experience each family wants for their delivery. At TriStar Centennial Women’s Hospital, that approach is felt throughout Labor & Delivery. Families can explore childbirth education, tour the unit, learn about birth options, access lactation support, and connect with specialized care for high-risk pregnancies and newborn needs—including a Level III NICU. Learn more about our maternity services and schedule a tour of our Birthing Center by calling (615) 342-5661.
