The Read! Learn! Succeed! program for the 2025-2026 school year has officially wrapped. It's been a great year, with UWFH supporting local literacy for 483 students in 35 classrooms each month. In total, we supplied more than 4,000 free books to local students! Many thanks to our invaluable volunteer readers for bringing the joy of reading to the children in our communities! Congrats to our Digital Navigator, Rich Vaden, who recently participated in the very first Massachusetts Digital Navigator Alliance Conference. Hosted by Alliance for Digital Equity, this conference brought hundreds of navigators together to discuss digital equity needs across the state--as well as possible solutions to close the digital gap. Great work was done by all! #DigitalNavigator #DigitalEquity #alliancefordigitalequity #uwfh #UnitedWay #UnitedIsTheWay See less
I’m excited to be at the inaugural Massachusetts Statewide Digital Navigators Conference today in Southbridge, MA hosted by the Alliance for Digital Equity. This morning I moderated the panel “Amplifying the Voice of the Digital Navigator,” featuring Representative Lindsay Sabadosa and others in the digital equity field as we discuss the future of Digital Navigation in Massachusetts and Rep. Sabadosa’s House Bill 4596, legislation focused on Digital Navigator credentialing. Proud to represent the United Way of the Franklin & Hampshire Region and the Alliance for Digital Equity alongside so many people working to expand digital access and support communities across the Commonwealth. #DigitalEquity #DigitalInclusion #DigitalNavigation #Massachusetts

Together, we made a difference! Thanks to generous community support, we raised more than $32,000 during our Diaper Deficit campaign. Thank you! With these funds, we’re helping ensure hundreds of children get the diapers they need, despite federal cuts. If you missed the campaign window, don’t worry - the donation link remains live, and every gift continues to make an impact. https://lnkd.in/eT67Gzf6 #UWFH #UnitedWay #UnitedistheWay #DiaperBank #DiaperNeed

Last chance to help close the diaper gap. Federal funding cuts will mean 120,000 fewer diapers for local families next year. We’re asking our community to help ensure children in Franklin and Hampshire Counties continue receiving this basic necessity. Just $25 provides about 120 diapers—roughly two weeks’ worth for a child. Will you help us close the gap before our campaign ends today? https://lnkd.in/eT67Gzf6

We all make mistakes. The May book in our Read! Learn! Succeed! reading program shows that doing so is not the end of the world. In fact, it can actually lead to something good! It's Okay to Make Mistakes, by best-selling author Todd Parr, is the final RLS book for the 2025-2026 school year. We think it's a fun and thoughtful way to wrap things up! https://lnkd.in/gFud8x3g #UWFH #UnitedWay #ReadLearnSucceed #LearntoRead #Literacy
