Supporting mental health in music means creating real, accessible resources for the people behind the art. 💙 That’s why Universal Music Group is expanding its wellbeing initiatives through new partnerships with Amber Health and Project Healthy Minds - helping provide artists, songwriters, and employees with expanded access to mental health resources, crisis support, care planning, and research-backed wellness initiatives. The partnerships build on UMG’s continued investment in the Music Health Alliance Mental Health Fund, reinforcing a broader commitment to reducing stigma and improving access to care across the music community. Last Thursday, Universal Music Australia & New Zealand hosted the fourth edition of Ignite Sydney - continuing to build a powerful platform for breaking international talent in the market. Global girl group KATSEYE led the showcase, marking their Australian debut amid major global momentum. Fresh off a sold-out North American tour and a standout Coachella performance, the group also connected with fans at a Melbourne pop-up during their visit. The night also featured rising singer-songwriter Violet Grohl, performing music from her forthcoming debut Be Sweet to Me, and alt-pop artist Devon Again, who delivered a dynamic set ahead of her debut release. Now in its fourth year, Ignite Sydney continues to introduce priority global talent to the Australian market - building early momentum across fans, media, and partners.

An evening with Sollos✨ Last week at the Universal Music Group UK HQ Library, we shared a closer look at how music, cognitive science and technology come together at Sollos. After a short intro from Emily Ingram and panel with Tara Venkatesan, PhD , Ian Sherwin and Alan McCall we let the music speak for itself with immersive experiences for focus, relaxation and sleep. A powerful testimonial video and a special message from Sophie Hutchings brought it all to life. The response in the room said it all. Thanks to everyone who came, despite the tube strikes! And if you picked up an Apple Music gift card, you know what to do: search “Sollos” or “Sound Therapy” to listen.

As Women’s History Month comes to a close, we’re reflecting on a month of connection, learning, and celebration across UMG. A huge thanks🙏to our Universal Music Women’s Network (UMWN) ERG for leading meaningful conversations throughout March. From a panel on sustainability in the music industry to a special performance and conversation with Bishop Briggs, a singer-songwriter known for her powerful vocals and hit song “River,” we’re grateful to everyone who made these moments possible. We’re closing out this year’s spotlight series with Sydney Whittenburg, with our Verve Label Group. 🩶 Sydney shares: “I am inspired by Erin Ryan who is my boss and the VP of Media for Verve Label Group. Her leadership inspires me to consistently aim higher, and as a young woman in the industry, I could not ask for a better person to learn from every single day and work alongside.” #WomensHistoryMonth

Yesterday, Sir Lucian Grainge CBE, our Chairman & CEO spoke with Richard Kerris, General Manager and Vice President, Media & Entertainment, NVIDIA. This was the first time the world’s most valuable company invited a music exec to their annual NVIDIA GTC conference on AI. Through the fireside chat, Sir Lucian emphasized the importance of both embracing change and respecting human artists. He said: “Every single piece of technology that's come along has ended up in growth and joy and partnership. We know – and you know - that artists need respect. I respect them, and that's part of why having people like you around is going to be very important, because you respect them as well.”
