Lack of access to quality, affordable childcare is a problem for workers nationwide, but it’s particularly challenging for military spouses; having children increases the odds of military spouse unemployment by 47%, and having a child under six years of age increases the odds by 68%. We agree with Stephen Simmons; the only way we can solve this complex, systemic issue is through collaboration, and we’re proud to partner with Armed Services YMCA National Headquarters on this program with the support of Amazon, an Honor Through Action Alliance partner.
