Today marks 20 years of Walters, Balido & Crain 🎉 Founded in 2006 by eight partners with a shared vision to become the leading civil trial and appellate firm in Texas, WBC has grown significantly while remaining committed to passionate, results-driven advocacy for our clients. We’re proud to celebrate several outstanding results from our team: 👏 Alicia Freed achieved a positive resolution in a residential construction defect arbitration, protecting our client and its insurers from significantly higher exposure. 👏 Emily Grantham wrote and argued a Motion for Summary Judgment that was granted, disposing of the entire case. 👏 Edward "Trey" John H. secured a strong trial victory for our client. This marks his second trial win in just six months with the firm—an impressive start. 👏Jonathan Davenport successfully argued and prevailed on a motion for summary judgment. 👏 Leigh Lewis and Jonathan Davenport worked together to secure a favorable jury verdict in a challenging trial. This week, our Dallas and Decatur offices joined together for our annual firm-wide trip to the Rangers game! Events like this are a great opportunity to strengthen connections across our teams, enjoy time together outside of the office, and celebrate the collaborative culture that makes our firm thrive. An added bonus—the Rangers brought home a win!

Our 2025 Summer Clerkship Program has officially come to a close! We had an amazing time spending the past 10 weeks with such a talented, motivated, and engaging group of law students across our Dallas, Houston, and Austin offices. From meaningful legal work to memorable outings and team events, this summer was full of connection, growth, and great moments! We’re excited to see where their paths lead and have no doubt they each have bright futures ahead!
