Every year, Arran Jaiswal - US Director at Distinct - takes on a challenge during public accounting’s busy season to raise money for a great cause. And this year is no exception. To mark 10 years of Distinct and 50 years of Candlelighters, he originally set out to run 60 miles in a day… before deciding to round it up to 100km. He’s tackling it in 10km blocks - and is already halfway. That means he’s run more than a full marathon, with another still to go. It’s a huge effort, all in support of Candlelighters Trust, who provide vital support to children with cancer and their families across Yorkshire. Busy season is demanding at the best of times. For those observing Ramadan, it can be even more challenging - balancing long hours, deadlines and fasting from dawn to sunset. We’ve always had a lot of respect for the professionals managing both.
