Updates

  • Behind every great experience for students is a team of educators willing to put in the time, energy and heart to make it happen. Our elementary physical education teachers recently came together to plan and lead Webster Groves School District’s first-ever districtwide Fifth Grade Field Day. While students saw a day filled with games, laughter and friendly competition, what stood behind it was months of collaboration and a shared commitment to creating something special for kids. Huge shoutout to our #OneWebster team of PE teachers!

  • Earlier this week, we had the privilege of celebrating some truly incredible members of our #OneWebster team at the Webster Groves School District Recognition Reception. The evening honored our retirees, staff members celebrating service milestones and our Inspires recipients, people who have dedicated their time and talents to making a difference for our students every single day. It was a fantastic evening filled with gratitude and well-deserved recognition. We’re also grateful to our community partners whose support helped make the event possible: Platinum Partners: First Student and Right at School Gold Partners: Triad Bank and Delta Dental Silver Partners: BLDD and Engaged Systems Bronze Partner: ParentSquare Thank you for helping us celebrate the people who make Webster Groves School District such a special place. 🧡

Today is Give STL Day, a reminder of the impact we can create when we invest in local education and student opportunity. In Webster Groves School District, Thrive Entrepreneurship Incubator at the high school level and Thrive Jr. in our elementary and middle grades are building a continuum of entrepreneurial learning. Students are developing creativity, leadership, collaboration, and problem-solving skills through real-world, hands-on experiences. From early idea exploration in Thrive Jr. to advanced business model development and pitching in the high school program, students are growing into confident, capable innovators. If you are considering giving today, we invite you to support the Webster Groves School District Foundation in support of Thrive. One-time donations or sponsorships are both meaningful ways to contribute and directly expand student opportunities. Your support helps strengthen experiential learning, mentorship connections, and innovative programming across grade levels.  https://lnkd.in/gwdcDQAS  (Choose Thrive Entrepreneurship Incubator)

  • Our first Statesmen Coffee Hour Showcase was a special morning dedicated to our Elder Statesmen senior citizens. Webster Groves High School students and staff did an outstanding job highlighting the arts across a range of programs, including fashion, FACS, painting, theater, music, and Catering Club. We’re proud of our incredible students for sharing their talents and grateful to our staff for opening their programs and creating such a welcoming experience. As a thank you for being such a valued part of our community, we also introduced the Elder Statesmen Pass, which provides senior citizens (65+) access to a variety of athletics events and theater performances. Thank you to everyone who helped make this first showcase so meaningful, we look forward to continuing it. For more information, visit our website.
