Toured the new Westlake Financial offices in downtown Las Vegas inside Tower 300, the former Bank of America building, and came away incredibly impressed by both the investment and the vision behind the space. One of the coolest details was seeing the original bank vault door incorporated directly into one of the conference rooms. And before anyone asks… no, it doesn’t actually lock anymore. It’s more or less welded together at this point, so nobody’s getting trapped during meetings. 😅 That mix of historic character and modern reinvestment makes downtown redevelopment so interesting. Preserving pieces of a building’s history while giving it a completely new purpose adds so much authenticity. I also appreciated how intentionally Westlake’s core values are woven throughout the office: fun, accountable, strategic, team-oriented, efficient, and respectful. And honestly, you could feel that culture walking through the space. Staff seemed genuinely cheerful, engaged, and energized in their work, which says a lot about an organization. As someone who spends every day focused on downtown growth, it’s exciting to see nationally recognized companies choosing the urban core not just as a satellite location, but as a place to invest, expand, and build long-term presence.
