This Giving Tuesday, we proudly relaunched GIVE WILL with a donation rooted in purpose, heritage, and hope. On December 2, we gifted 100 handcrafted backpacks to the students of Comanche Academy, a Native-led charter school in Lawton, Oklahoma dedicated to cultural identity, language revitalization, and academic excellence. The backpacks were delivered by Janee’ Kassanavoid — world medalist, Comanche Nation member, and an inspiring example of strength and perseverance. Janee’ spent the morning with the students and Principal Shannon Sfoye, sharing her own story and encouraging every child to dream boldly and believe in the path ahead. Each backpack included a “My Dream Is…” card for students to write and carry their aspirations. Because GIVE WILL has always been about more than a bag — it is about offering something made to last, something that symbolizes belief in a child’s future. We invite you to read the full story on our journal: Give Will on Giving Tuesday 🔗 https://lnkd.in/gh6yrEtS This is just the beginning of our renewed GIVE WILL mission. A bag to carry their dreams. And many more stories to come. #GiveWill #GivingTuesday #WillLeatherGoods #ComancheAcademy #CommunityImpact #YouthEmpowerment #Heritage #NativeEducation

About us
Will makes products that inspire your journey... Discover Your Will. Will delivers a collection of bags, belts and leather accessories that are uniquely American. They have rugged good-looks, thoughtful functionality, and top-quality materials inherent to artisan craftsmanship. That is Will. Attention to detail is at the core of every unique Will piece. Like fine hand tools, Will Leather Goods are not only extraordinary when new, but gracefully age with the beauty and patina expected from shrunken soft lambskin and vegetable-tanned hides. From the brand’s Oregon roots, a place of big mountains and huge douglas firs, the Will collection most importantly shares the passion that drives the Will customer’s life. The Will brand is for those that seek that unique and timeless piece for their own personal collection and that their children will fight over long after they are gone.

Sometimes a story comes along your radar that reminds you why you do what you do. This was one of those. William Adler was supposed to be an actor. Instead, he became a leathermaker and now leads his own leather goods company Will Leather Goods. As the company prepares to expand into Bend and Fort Worth, Texas, Adler said he is focused on ensuring each customer who walks into his storefronts finds their new favorite leather product through “old-school customer service concepts.” https://lnkd.in/dfUahZpW

We are very excited about this next chapter!
Behind the scenes, we’ve been working on something new… The Old Mill, New Chapter From Will’s Workbench I grew up in Detroit. When you’re raised around factories and hard work, you learn to appreciate the things that last—steel, leather, wood, people who show up early every day. That’s probably why I love digging around old barns and mill workshops. I like finding stuff that’s still got fight left in it. Every store we’ve built has a little of my past in it. Fort Worth has its cowboy grit. Eugene’s in an old boxcar—a nod to the way goods used to move across America. Portland has treasures I’ve picked up over years of travel, each with a story. Now we’re setting up shop in Bend, Oregon. We’ve been tracking down things with real history—boards worn smooth by hands long before ours, hard worn drawers that open like they’re daring you to take a look, signs that once told someone where they were going. New things have a young soul; their story is yet to be written. Just because something’s vintage doesn’t mean it belongs. The pieces with history and presence you can feel, those are the ones that earn their spot. So we’re giving these pieces a second life, inside the walls of our Bend store. And I think you’re going to like the way it feels in there. See you at The Old Mill. — Will

We’re honored to share that Will Leather Goods was recognized as one of the Portland Business Journal’s Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies, placing 19th for 2022-2024. Last week we joined fellow innovators and leaders at the awards ceremony — a night of celebration, new connections, and sharing our story. We were especially proud to highlight our B2B cresting opportunities, and to host a fun activation that gave attendees a taste of the craftsmanship and creativity at the heart of Will Leather Goods. A huge thank you to our community, partners, and team for fueling this growth and momentum. We’re just getting started. 🔗 Read more: https://lnkd.in/g_dTZaNV #WillLeatherGoods #MadeForTheJourney #FastestGrowingCompanies #PortlandBusinessJournal #HeritageInTheMaking Jonathan Matthews William Adler Cara Lindsay

It was fantastic to take in the Portland Business Journal’s Fastest Growing Private Companies Event yesterday with Nonprofit Professionals Now (NPN). My biggest takeaway? Your team matters most. It’s the people, always. From amazing companies like Tender Loving Empire to Berg & Associates to Will Leather Goods, I just kept hearing over and over about how bringing the right team together created so much momentum for the organizations and the people they serve. So how do you build the best team possible? Do you have a strategy for that? Maybe we should talk about what that looks like :)
