🎂 Celebrating 100 Years of the RANEY® Catalyst Imagine if Murray Raney were here today to blow out the candles for this 100-year milestone. While we relied on a bit of AI magic to bring him to the party, the impact of his 1926 patent is as real as it gets. For the chemists and plant managers who keep the world moving, a 100-year legacy is proof of performance. Our customers trust the RANEY® brand because it delivers where it matters most: High Activity: Faster reaction rates and higher throughput mean you can produce more with existing assets, boosting plant economics. High Selectivity: By minimizing byproducts and improving yield, we help reduce your downstream separation costs and ensure higher purity. Durability: Stable performance and long catalyst life mean fewer changeouts and less downtime. Proven Longevity: Taught in chemistry textbooks and trusted in global production, this is a platform with a century of validation. Since 1963, we have been the proud stewards of Murray Raney’s legacy. Today, we don’t just celebrate a patent; we celebrate the spirit of curiosity that turns a laboratory experiment into a century of progress. Happy 100th Anniversary to the catalyst that keeps the world moving! #Raney100 #ChemicalEngineering #MurrayRaney #Catalysis #Hydrogenation

🎨💚 Turning leftover paint into something good for the community Grace Lake Charles, Louisiana, employees rolled up their sleeves to volunteer at the Lake Area Industry Alliance (LAIA) Paint Recycling Event at the Lake Charles Civic Center. We were proud to support the event by providing safety glasses and gloves, paint can openers, and paint stirrers to help keep volunteers safe and ready to go. Since 2000, this program has given community members an easy, environmentally responsible way to dispose of leftover paint from home projects. Thousands of gallons of donated paint are distributed to local charities and non-profits—keeping usable materials out of landfills. Proper paint disposal matters, and it’s great to see our employees playing a hands-on role in the local community. A big thank-you to everyone who volunteered—and to LAIA for continuing to lead an effort that makes a real difference.

Connecting strategy to manufacturing operations Recently, team members at our Worms and Düren, Germany plants welcomed our CEO Ed Sparks and President, Global Operations & EHSSQ Mark Cluff for engaging site visits focused on safety and operational excellence. In Düren, employees shared the collective actions they’re taking to strengthen our safety‑first culture - including the behaviors that led to a recent safety milestone. In Worms, leaders connected with the next generation of engineers, offering perspective on career growth and self‑development. Together, these visits created space for open dialogue, shared learning, and meaningful conversations about how global strategy translates into local impact. Site walkthroughs and discussions with operations leaders further highlighted how disciplined execution and continuous improvement support long‑term success. Special thanks to our Düren and Worms colleagues who spent time with Ed and Mark and helped showcase the role our manufacturing operations play in advancing Grace.

The use of biomass-based diesel fuels continues to grow, but they come with a whole new set of challenges. ⚠️ Lipid-based feedstocks like used cooking oil and animal fats can contain trace metals and other impurities that can disrupt refinery operations if not properly treated. That’s why smart pretreatment matters. TRISYL® silica helps remove those impurities, while improving yield, reducing solid waste, extending catalyst life, and reducing the need for activated clay. Learn how it helps refineries optimize the feedstock pretreatment process: https://lnkd.in/dtJbRDvd

Recently, a few of our employees visited the Jeevan Samvardhan Foundation in Maharashtra, India. JSF is a non-profit dedicated to supporting homeless children by providing a safe, nurturing environment where they can learn, grow, and build brighter futures. The visit offered a chance to learn more about the Foundation’s work, connect with students after school, and contribute a collection of inspirational books, along with a few treats to brighten the afternoon. Kudos to the JSF — through their hands‑on support and commitment to education, they help children see what’s possible and approach the future with confidence and hope.
