On May 11, 1910, Glacier officially became America’s 10th national park. 116 years later, its landscapes, wildlife, and history continue to make it one of the most remarkable places to live, work, and explore. ⛰️ 📸NPS

From litter clean-ups and Earth Day trivia at The Oasis, to an upcycled fashion show at South Rim, highway clean-ups in Yellowstone, e-waste collection in Tusayan, and a community clean-up and plant care workshop at our corporate office 🌱 Thank you to everyone who took part in making our planet a little better!

As we conclude our celebration of Women Shaping a Sustainable Future in honor of Women’s History Month, we’re proud to highlight Kat Bacevicius, Product Director at Xanterra Adventure Company (VBT | Country Walkers) and a member of the Sustainable Travel Committee (STC). Since joining Country Walkers in 2013, Kat has been a key contributor to the STC, a group focused on ensuring our travel experiences positively impact the communities and environments we visit while reducing our operational footprint. Their work spans conservation, education, health, economic equality, and cultural preservation. Kat has helped advance a range of initiatives, including supporting funding for local organizations, leading a carpooling program, maintaining an office garden, and contributing to efforts to reduce and partially offset greenhouse gas emissions. With a background in Tourism & Outdoor Recreation Management from the University of Vermont, Kat brings her passion for connecting people to the outdoors into everything she does. We’re grateful for the impact she continues to make in shaping more sustainable travel experiences. And thank you to all the women of Xanterra, past, present, and future, who continue to shape a more sustainable world.

As part of our Women’s History Month series celebrating Women Shaping a Sustainable Future, we’re proud to spotlight Kate Manzer, EHS Systems Administrator at our Xanterra corporate office. Kate’s passion for responsible business is rooted in a family legacy of contributing to society with purpose. She earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees in environmental policy from the University of Colorado and has since built a career helping organizations reduce energy consumption and achieve recognition for their sustainability efforts. In just her first six months at Xanterra, Kate has taken on the critical work of rebuilding our Ecometrix sustainability and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions database—helping position us for upcoming mandatory GHG and climate risk reporting. Kate’s dedication reflects a strong commitment to making a positive impact and advancing a more sustainable future. Thank you, Kate, for the meaningful impact you’re making and for setting such a strong example across our organization.
