We are incredibly grateful to Lieutenant Governor Austin Davis , Representative Jose Giral, Representative Danilo Burgos, Senator Christine Tartaglione, and Councilwoman Quetcy Lozada for their support in securing a $500,000 investment to expand Xiente ’s Teen Center workforce development programming. This investment is more than funding — it is an investment in prevention, opportunity, and the future of our young people. At Xiente, we believe workforce development is a powerful anti-violence strategy. When youth have access to mentorship, career exposure, paid opportunities, and pathways toward economic mobility, we are helping create safer communities and stronger futures. Through this initiative, we will continue supporting teens with the tools, guidance, and opportunities they need to build confidence, develop skills, and envision futures beyond the barriers they may face today. Thank you for believing in our youth and for continuing to invest in programs that create real pathways to opportunity across our communities. #YouthDevelopment #WorkforceDevelopment #EconomicMobility #ViolencePrevention #Philadelphia #CommunityImpact

We are incredibly honored to have been recognized as a finalist for the Blue Ribbon Award by Philadelphia Association of Community Development Corporations. While we did not take home the award, we are deeply proud to have been considered alongside so many impactful organizations and projects advancing community development across Philadelphia. This recognition reflects the hard work, vision, and commitment of our team, partners, and community — all working together to create spaces, opportunities, and pathways that strengthen neighborhoods and support families. At Xiente, we remain committed to community-rooted development that honors culture, expands opportunity, and invests in the long-term wellbeing of the communities we serve. Thank you to PACDC for the recognition and for continuing to elevate the importance of equitable community development throughout our city. #CommunityDevelopment #Philadelphia #NeighborhoodRevitalization #AffordableHousing #EconomicMobility

https://lnkd.in/eVPDvkaN At Xiente, we believe that economic mobility doesn’t happen by chance — it happens through intentional investment, strong relationships, and the right supports at the right time. We’re proud to see our work highlighted in The Philadelphia Inquirer, showcasing how our Prosperity Project and Mi Casa initiative are working together to help families build stability and create pathways to long-term success. Through our Economic Mobility Concierge model, our team — including leaders like Jamika Rodriguez — works one-on-one with families to develop personalized plans that address immediate needs while building toward long-term goals. From accessing childcare and completing education, to paying down debt, building savings, and even starting businesses, this work is rooted in the belief that families should not have to navigate poverty alone. As highlighted in the article, housing is only one part of the equation. When combined with financial coaching, workforce development, and access to opportunity, it becomes a powerful foundation for breaking cycles of intergenerational poverty. The Mi Casa initiative reflects this approach — providing affordable housing while ensuring families have the support needed to thrive. From culturally rooted design that honors the heritage of Norris Square’s Puerto Rican community to a commitment to serving larger families, this work is about more than housing — it’s about community, dignity, and opportunity. We’re grateful to Michaelle Bond for highlighting this important work, and to Quetcy Lozada for her continued leadership and advocacy for the families and communities we serve. This is what economic mobility looks like in action. #EconomicMobility #AffordableHousing #CommunityDevelopment #FinancialStability #Philadelphia #NonprofitLeadership #xiente

We are incredibly grateful to State Representative Danilo Burgos for his continued leadership and commitment to our community. Through the Pennsylvania Commission on Crime and Delinquency, Xiente has been awarded $500,000 to expand our Youth Take Action workforce development initiative — an investment that will directly support nearly 100 high-risk Hispanic and Black teens across Philadelphia. Representative Burgos has been a consistent advocate for youth and for the resources needed to create real pathways to opportunity. This investment is more than funding — it’s a commitment to prevention, to possibility, and to the future of our young people. At Xiente, we believe that when youth are given access to workforce development, mentorship, and meaningful opportunities, we are not only supporting individual success — we are strengthening entire communities. Thank you, Representative Burgos, for your partnership and for always standing with the youth of our city. This investment will make a lasting difference. #CommunityImpact #WorkforceDevelopment #YouthEmpowerment #EconomicMobility #Philadelphia
