Schedule posts

Last updated: 6 days ago

Scheduling posts helps you plan content in advance and share updates at a time that works best for you. You can create posts now, schedule them to be published later, and manage all of your scheduled posts from one place.

If you have scheduled posts in your queue, the Clock icon displays a badge displaying the number of scheduled posts to help you discover scheduled posts more easily.

Currently, scheduling posts is not supported for the following types of posts:

  • Events
  • Jobs

To schedule a post:

  1. Click Start a post at the top of your LinkedIn homepage. The Create a post pop-up window appears.

  2. Type the content of your post in the What do you want to talk about? field.

  3. Click the Clock icon in the lower-right corner to schedule your post.

  4. In the Schedule post pop-up window, select the date and time when you want your post to be published.

    Note:

    • You can schedule a post between 10 minutes and 3 months from the current time.
    • You can enter a specific time instead of selecting one of the 30-minute increments from the dropdown.
    • Scheduled times are converted to UTC based on your device's time zone settings.
  5. Click Next.

    • You can see the scheduled date and time above the post.
  6. Click Schedule.

    • A post scheduled confirmation pop-up appears on the lower left of the page.

  • If you don’t want to schedule a post, click Edit next to the time mentioned above the post. In the Schedule post pop-up window, click Clear time. The schedule details are no longer available. Click Post to create a post immediately or click the Close icon on the upper-right corner to discard the post.
