Delete a conversation or group chat on LinkedIn Messaging

If you no longer need to keep a conversation or group chat, you can delete it.

When you delete a conversation, it’ll be removed from your inbox and not from the recipient’s. You can’t restore or access deleted conversations.

To delete a conversation or group chat:

  1. Click the  Messaging icon at the top of your LinkedIn homepage.

    • You can also click on the messaging conversation window at the lower-right corner of your LinkedIn homepage.
  2. Open the conversation or group chat.

  3. Click the  More icon in the upper right.

  4. Click Delete conversation.

  5. Click Delete to confirm.

Notes:

  • Deleting a conversation or group chat doesn’t delete or block the connection.

  • If you think the conversation is inappropriate for LinkedIn, you can report the conversation, remove the connection, or block the member.
